Obviously we're all excited to be having a baby, but what's the best part of being an August momma to you? Sure, it's going to be hot as hell, but there HAS to be something good about it.
For me, it's being able to wear maxi dresses and flip flops all summer long. No worrying about shoes fitting my swollen feet, and I might actually be able to find some dresses that I can wear even after my big belly is gone.
Re: What are you excited about?
Being a teacher, I am excited to have my feet up for the last two months of my pregnancy.
Me: 34 DH: 35
Married: July 2009
BFP: November 2012 after 2 years of TTC DS born August 2013
Diagnosed with PCOS April 2016
3 months of trigger shot with timed intercourse BFN x3
First IUI: 9/17/16 BFP: 9/30/16 EDD: 6/11/17
Wish I could share your warm weather excitement but it will be the middle of Winter here so I can't.
I am excited about having our baby home, and filling our spare room with another wee part of our family. I can't wait to have a full house with the kids and us. I want that feeling of when it's quiet at night and you have everyone safe in their beds. Home is definitely where our (DH and my) hearts are and our baby and my step son will feel that too hopefully.
This may sound lame, but I'm happy that my final tri is in the summer, because I'm crazy tall, and all my maternity clothes (from my DS,born in FL) are shorts and short-sleeve tops!
Also, happy to not be giving birth in the tropics during hurricane season this time around.
Finally, my EDD is my favorite aunt's birthday, so that makes an August baby awesome.
Not exactly excited about having a summer pregnancy. It'll be a new experience since with my others I was always hugely pregnant during cooler months.
I am from a big family and this baby will have the only August birthday. Woohooo for getting to throw a pool party for once!
This! Haha except my favorite is coconut.
Also excited for airy maxi skirts and sandals, and tank tops to show off my beautiful bump!
To be honest, I am not thrilled with having an August baby. I live in FL, and the heat starts getting unbearable here come late May, and just gets worse and worse come August. While everyone will be at the pool or beach, I will be holed up in my house trying to stave off the horrible humidity. While I am super thrilled to be a mom, and happy to be pregnant...my bodies timing on getting pregnant just makes me want to cry...LOL..
I will make the best of it though...
I'm most excited about my two kids bonding. Little A is already interested in the baby so I'm thrilled to see how they interact when this one arrives!

Once the end of August comes the weather cools down to a very comfortable warm temperature for lots of walks!!!
I think being able to be outside late in the evening will be great! Hopefully I'll get to do a lot this summer with DS.
Oh, and dresses and flip flops, for sure!
The one downside I'm thinking though is for swaddle purposes. We swaddled DS from day 1, but it was no worry as he was born in October. I'm wondering with the heat of August/September, if we'll be able to swaddle safely? I suppose we'll just have to keep the air turned down low in the house.
I'm really just glad to be having #2, and plan to take off work MUCH earlier than I did last time. Like, a month early, hopefully.
Sun dresses, flip flops and having a pool I can go float in.
Although in Vegas, I can get away with flip flops most of the year, which is exactly what I did with my January baby.

I'm excited that my baby is going to have a summer birthday because DB and I both have cold November birthdays and I always wished I could have had outside birthday parties growing up. So I'm happy that we will be able to do fun summer type parties for our babe.
My SIL told me when she was pregnant w her DS who is a March baby she actually had her DH put her boots on for her before he left for work bc she couldn't do it on her own! So glad I won't have to deal with that!
I'm with you on the dresses!
*no pants dance*
im also excited I won't have to try to do the "have baby wear just enough clothes to not freeze but to not compromise car seat safety" thing. Or the rush to the door form the parking lot in the rain/ snow with a newbie and 2 kids.
Really winter births kinda blow hah. So anything that is opposite of that sounds fabulous
Same for me !!
Our cottage is only a 30 min drive, so I'm excited to a) not have to worry about looking good in a bikini this year and b) sitting in a chair in the lake and reading! We also bought two hammocks we're going to hang, so hopefully I'll be able to get in and out of them okay!
I'm also looking forward to flip flops and my birkenstocks! Plus, we won't have to bundle up LO to go anywhere for a few months, which will be nice! And we can get out for walks and driving places won't be a PITA!
