TTC Again?

I know I'm not the only PAL'er that is TTC again...would you all mind if there were posts on the subject here? Just thinking there are posts pretty much daily regarding subsequent pregnancies, but those that are TTC again don't really have a place to go unless we've had another loss since our rainbow.

Out of curiousity, who here is trying again? Or at least not preventing? Where are you at in your journey to another LO?

Since D is napping right now I'll answer my own questions while I can...

We are trying again. We had a pregnancy after D that ended in a mmc Thanksgiving weekend. Last cycle was my first back on the TTCAL horse...and our timing was non-existant. I'm in the midst of AF now. This cycle will be our first with a shot at it...and my fingers are mega crossed bc the potential EDD would be just days before my birthday. That would be the best present EVER. We started trying again partially due to our age (36) and and partially due to the fact that DH will likely be deploying in the coming years and it's a lot easier to TTC when he's home. I'm praying at this point that we are able to conceive and bring home a sibling for D. I felt pretty optimistic about that when the last pregnancy was ongoing, but since it ended...the TTCAL doubt has crept back in. I'm both hopeful for another pregnancy, and terrified of it...but I know to get him a sibling I have to face that fear.

Hi Junebug! We are also trying for another LO. We think Pip would really dig a sibling, so we've been trying for 5 cycles and we haven't had any luck yet. I turned 40 in November, so the clock is definitely ticking for us. I've been telling myself that we've already got a LO, so the pressure should be off, but DH really, really wants another - and it seems like he's always talking "when you get pregnant...", so every time I get a BFN it gets pretty discouraging (he's not saying anything negative - I'm just the one that feels like a failure). We've been doin' it like rabbits for the earlier cycles, but since we haven't had any luck, I've decided to take a more scientific approach this time around and bought some OPKs. Finger crossed for both of us! Good luck - and have fun!!! Big Smile

Yay for another TTC'er! Double yay that you're also 'AMA' (hate that term). I'm new to being AMA, DS barely got in under the wire Wink .

I've got OPKs ready to roll this cycle, too. My cycle is still regulating a bit from the m/c, but it looks like I may be O'ing a little sooner than before based on charting. OPKs could come in very handy!

We will be TTC again in 3 months. So I'm in the vitamins and trying to get myself as healthy and ready as possible phase before we start trying again/not preventing in April. We were going to start again sooner but long story short when DH and I went for our flu shots they may have "accidently" stuck him with a used syringe so we can't try again until he gets a full work up of blood work in three months. I would love to offer support in the mean time though!

We are and have been trying for another LO. This is our 9th cycle and I am in the 2WW. We had great timing this month and are really hoping this is it.It been a tough and longer road this time. We got pregnant our second month trying when we had our MMC, and then we got pregnant our first cycle with Rylan. I am "working" on my patience . . .

Fingers crossed to all those trying currently!

We are not TTC right now but are planning on doing so this summer. I think a TTC thread would be nice here...I kind of wondered where I could post when I was TTC again...TTCAL doesn't seem appropriate and certainly not TTGP. I'd love to offer support to anyone TTC right now.

I also feel like a ticking time bomb anyway because DH doesn't want to try until this summer but we both agreed it would be stupid to go on the pill for a few months (I didn't want to go onto the pill until AF came after I stopped BFing--which took almost 3 months), so now we are not using any form of BC. Of course we're not really doing it either...but when we do, that's when I'd feel like a ticking time bomb

I will most definitely lurk and support if I can. I am secretly sooo jealous of those of you that have room for more LOs. DH and I each have a child from previous relationships, and Georgia, so together we have a total of 3 kiddos. If we had different financial circumstances, and a bigger house, I would love to do it all again!

And, Crystal, whaaaaaat??!! Accidentally stuck with a used needle?! Crazy! That's super scary! I hope all is well!

I know, right? I have missed it. I can't believe we are about to try and embark on this journey again. I didn't know you had been trying for 9 cycles already...I really hope that this 2WW is the one for you guys. I mostly just have prayers that we will get and stay pregnant and have healthy babies the next time around as well.

I'm ready. I'm EBF so I wasn't sure when my cycles would come back (I had one in Nov but nothing since), but AF just arrived yesterday, so I am ready to break out the thermometer and OPKs. LO is sleeping longer at night, so I hope that has been enough to kick start my ovaries again.

DH is 43 and said he wants one more if we can do it before he turns 45, so that pretty much gives me 12 months to get KU with a EDD while he is still 44. I really feel a lot of pressure from the clock, but not enough to cut down on breastfeeding. I am really scared of having another miscarriage though. I know breastfeeding is safe during pregnancy for most women, but my miscarriage came when I got pregnant the first cycle off of BCP. I know that is totally unrelated to BF in real life, but not in a Pgal brain.

It's a really long story and it's a slim chance but a risk we're just not willing to take. The Dr. said it could take up to 3 months before something would show up in DH's bloodwork so once we get the all clear from the Dr. we will stop TTA.

Obivously we aren't TTC yet but we don't plan to TTA, we figure between my PCOS and BFing it will probably take quite some time to get pregnant again so we don't plan on preventing anything. When Annabelle is about 9 months to a year old we will probably try more seriously.

i'm late to this post but we are not preventing, however w/ that said i truly believe i can't get pg. on my own. So unless there's some type of miracle we'll continue on not preventing for a few more months and then i have to have some type of end to this journey. it's bittersweet and i still don't know how to feel about it. DH wants a 3rd and i feel like a failure b/c i can't provide that for him. Sad

but we'll see...

We're TTC. We started unofficially when DD was 8 months old. I wasn't getting AF bc of BFing, so we were just hoping to catch the first egg. Didn't happen. Got period back four months ago, so we've been for REAL trying for four months now. I'm charting and using CBEFM.

After the post on FB I decided to just go ahead and post here about it. I know when we were trying, before this recentish loss, that I felt like I had nowhere to go...and I know I wasn't the only one. TTCAL has been really welcoming to me since my mmc, but I'm not sure if that would've been the case otherwise. I don't post there much, but it's nice to have a place to go with my TTCAL crazy moments. I'm looking forward to you ladies getting to know some of the great people I'm meeting there on PgAL and eventually over here Smile

It's really good to see so many of us TTC again. I was feeling a little left behind when I fell off the June/July baby wave...but now I'm feeling much better about not feeling like I'm the only one not KU again (for keeps) already. Thanks guys!

We're ttc. I didn't get af back until October because I'm still breastfeeding. We gave it a try after my 2nd cycle, got a bfp. Unfortunately, the line got lighter and eventually a bfn. I'm on my 4th cycle pp now and just getting into charting.

We are currently TTA but I think we'll be either TTC or NTNP starting in April. I have a big exam I'm going to be taking in October, so I want to make sure I'm not going to be going into labor or uncomfortably huge when the exam rolls around.

I'm pretty new to this board but we are trying TTC. We started a few months ago but then had to take a break due to a surgery. We started up again this month.

We are hoping to expand our family but are very happy that we were blessed with LIl' Man.
