Cramps after ET normal?

Hi all!
So I had my ET this morning and I'm having some cramping now. Is this normal. I'm worried. Sorry if I sound like a lunatic, this is the first time through all of this cycle that I've just cried . I guess I've been through so many disappointments that I've convinced myself that my body just can't be pregnant and that I'm doomed to fail. Thanks for any responses

    Cramping is definitely normal considering you just had a catheter go through your cervix! Are you spotting at all?? 

    I didn't start cramping until about 2dp5dt, but I've heard of others who have had cramping right after ET.

    I know it's really overwhelming and emotional so relax, take some deep breaths and take it easy! Take your meds, but other than that, treat yourself right - there isn't anything else you can do at this point - GL to you!!

    No not spotting at all, thank you for your kind words. I am trying its just so difficult. My in laws are here to "help" and while I love them and appreciate them being here, they think this IVF means an immediate pregnancy , they don't know all the struggles and loss we have had . To them 2 blasts in today and that means we are having twins.

    I know it's difficult, hang in there. Maybe try to set expectations with your ILs. I know I've been very open with my family and got into great detail about percentages, this isn't a guarantee, etc. so I wouldn't need to feel like I was disappointing them with another negative cycle.

    I agree with asilwhite. There is nothing more you can do at this point so rest up and take care of yourself. After my first ET I was a bit crampy but I was told that was normal.  Try not to agree over it. GL

    I cramped and spotted.  It has nothing to do with being pregnant or not this soon.  Like OP said, your cervix is normally closed and just had a catheter stuffed in it.  Good luck to you!!!!!  I hope you get a BFP!

     TTC since 9/10 consult 1/12 All testing came back fine Diagnosed with Unexplained infertility -3 medicated IUI's All BFN IVF - ER 11/14 24R, 15M, 13F ET 11/19, BETA 11/28 BFFN --Next step FET in Jan ET scheduled for 1/24.     I've had some cramps today too after my ET and I'm glad that all I have to do is lie in bed and rest.  Try not to worry.
