Cake theme help

I can't believe that DD is turning one at the end of February! Although, I guess technically, she doesn't get a birthday this year.

Anyway, I'm wondering if maybe you ladies can help me with ideas for a cake. Since she's a leap day baby, I'd love to come up with some kind of theme for that, but so far I've got nothing.

As a backup if I can't come up with anything cool, we're just going to go with a pink ladybug themed cake, but I'd really like to be more creative.

I call upon your caketivity! ;)

    My daughter is also a leap day baby, but I just plan on baking a giant cupcake cake so nothing really creative. Maybe you can do a frog cake and say something about leaping through the year? I'm not a very creative person :). I'll be watching to see what other more creative ladies have to say.

     

    Eta:  I also thought of maybe a ballerina. They leap through the air.

    I was thinking frog too...you could do a frog 'leaping' over a lady bug.

    I am a fan of mad hatters...you could  do a very merry unbirthday and really carry that theme through the party....as a gift get her some crazy hats and a dress up chest and take pics of the guests posing with her in the hats.

    Some great ideas already ladies! I had thought of a frog, but I hadn't thought of just having maybe a small frog leaping over a lady bug! That could be kind of cool. I guess I'll pass some ideas along to the person making our cake and see if she has any ideas too.
