Updated w/stats: The babies were born this morning.

Two little boys, who are fighting hard in the NICU. Just a few days over 24w. Please keep them in your prayers. They have such a long, hard road ahead of them.
Update - Little William was 1.2lbs and had apgars of 1, 5, and 7. Daniel was 1.4lbs and had apgars of 4 and 6. A mutual friend, who is an L&D nurse, said those are good apgars for 24 weekers, and the weights are excellent, especially for twins. I know they were intubated but I'm not sure their most up to the minute status. If I hear anything more I will update again.
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

Oh my. Those little guys are in my prayers. I taught a little one who had defied all sorts of odds, he was born at 24 weeks as well. Miracles do happen. He was a sweet little guy, he had some learning disabilities and some shunts in his body. But he was alive and thriving

My mom was born in 1958 and weighed 1lb 6oz. No incubators, no medical intervention.....they just fed her every few hours and hoped for the best. She is perfectly healthy. I am praying the same goes for these little boys!
I agree, thank you HA for updating us. I think we are all on the edge of our seats hoping to hear another happy update. Those apgar scores seems very promising, L was full term and scored a 5 and 8. They definitely are strong little buggers!
Glad to hear that the stats are (relatively) good! I'll keep thinking of them and hoping for strength, courage and a good outcome for the whole family.
How's your friend dealing with it all and with her recovery?
