I am tackling spackling...

I ripped the chair rail and moulding off the walls last weekend.

There are nail holes in the walls and wall texture is missing from where the glue was. I just spackled all the holes and the areas that needed some love. I'll give that 24 hours to dry and then tackle knock down texturing. I'm a little nervous since DH hates to do texturing because it's a pain to do correctly.

At any rate, all of this to take our house from several different colors to one fresh coat of neutral throughout. Looking forward to starting to paint some time this weekend.

I'm also sanding down 3 cribs during outdoor playtime and after bedtime. Working on little projects trying to make some cash to update the house. Fun times...

I've come to hate DIY programs that really glorify this process. It's time-consuming and labor-intensive like none of those shows would have you believe. UGH!
