If you knew a mom who was still in her pajamas at 2:30 in the afternoon and yes she did drive her child to school like that, would you think less of her? Hypothetically speaking of course.
It depends on what they are. If there is sponge bob or anything disney on them I will judge, flannel or other pattern she is in the clear.
I, er this hypothetical mom, didn't get out of the car but also didn't but a bra on. I am, I mean she, is wearing a bathrobe too so nothing is showing. I, uh this person needs to go into the school to pick up the son, so I , er she, better change.
Yeah I dont care... and also, there have been times I'll go to the store in what some would call pajamas. There are worse things in life
.....And I may or may not still be wearing my jammies and robe as I sit here at home working....and have been known to still be wearing it by the end of the day. The horror!
Obviously there are places in public where it deserves an eyebrow raise or a side-eye, but in general: Meh.
IDGAF. Also, I drove ds to school one in short pjs and a bathrobe, and told him to lose the attitude, or I was walking him him to class like the toddler he was acting like. It worked, and I was relieved. I didn't really want to get out in my pjs.
A few years back I drove my then 9 year old brother to a summer camp. I thought I was just dropping him off. Turns out I had to go inside and sign him in...and I was wearing an inside out shirt and boxers.
There's a mom I see waiting to pick up her kid at the busstop on a fairly busy road in the afternoons. She is often in what is obviously pajama pants (winter coat on top lately because it is so damn cold here right now).
I noticed it one day because I was stopped behind the bus and was sitting there for a minute or so. I don't know what her circumstances are, she could work nights, she might work at home, she might have a medical condition that makes pj's the best fit for her right now. Also, what does it matter?
But I sometimes wonder what the kids on the bus think and if the kid getting off the bus to be greeting by that mom suffers any teasing or similar over it.
promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
I know a lot of people who get off of work at 6AM so if she had her PJ's on to drop them off, no big deal and same to pick them up... In general I'm not a fan of the whole PJ pants so would give a tinge of a side-eye, but overall, eh, bigger things to think/deal with
Re: Hypothetically speaking......
hypothetically speaking....
Are you talking about ME?!
I wore my pajamas all day long yesterday and even went out to pick up dinner in them.
I'm watching you!!!
If the pajamas involved yoga pants and at least putting a bra on therefore they didn't really look like pajamas, no
If she never got out of the car and I wasn't able to see it, no
If she were obviously in pajamas, yeah, I'd judge
Sweats are my PJs though.
I'll admit that today I changed from the pjs I wore to bed to a new set to hangout in today.
Ditto. Though I did upgrade from sweatpants to yoga pants, so I actually dressed up today. You're welcome, world.

No judgement from me.
