How long was your leave extended for PPD?

Any ladies here whose dr?s extended your leave for PPD and if so for how long? My OB gave me 2 weeks but I haven?t had a chance to see anyone yet (I have something scheduled but they could not get me in immediately since therepist was so booked) and feel completely miserable - spent almost all of today crying. I am worried that going back to work too soon will be a total disaster for me b/c I am so mentally off kilter and my work environment is extremely fast paced and high stress.

    I was already back at work by the time i finally went in for PPD. But i was in a support group with moms who have not gone back to work. And their doctor's would extend their leave until they saw them again. So if you doctor would check on you in 3 weeks, they would extend it for 3 weeks and if you needed more time, they would extend it again. They basically would do it by a case by case basis. Hope this helps...
