I am looking for a midwife in Queens or Long Island NY that will assist with giving my birth to my first baby in either a hospital or birthing center. Any suggestions anyone?
I'm planning a home birth in Brooklyn with Stacey Rees (www.clementinemidwifery.com). She only does home births, but she might be able to recommend someone if you shoot her an email (it's on the website).
Sorry I misread your post (pg brain). Dena was my doula, I used Sandy Woods with my second, she's the head of the group of midwives that delivers at the birthing center at Roosevelt, they are wonderful!

Good luck!
I used Dena Ferreira www.abirthinggoddess.com with my first. She's based in Manhattan but I was in CT at the time and she will go to CT, LI and NJ.
She was wonderful and was recommended by my OB, Jacques Moritz who delivers at Roosevelt. I highly recommend her, especially with your first!
