What are some of your ideas of themes for a boy's nursery? I am having a difficult time deciding and DH wants me to hurry up and figure out what I want so he can start painting. I went back and forth by just picking a color theme/scheme and then to a theme like fish/nautical/sports. What are your thoughts or ideas?

I'm the opposite, I much prefer plain colors/patterns that can really grow over themey theme.
Have you looked at bedding/nursery sets online or in store at all? That might kick start your ideas... if you find something or a couple of somethings that you love.
My husband is a big time snowboarder who was supposed to go pro, and then shattered his knee... anyway, he finally has his boy so we're doing a "mountain and wildlife" theme in his room... lots of animals, lots of mountain pictures and a wall decal of a mountain and pine trees, etc... should be cute! Colors are Black, grey, red and white

Not a nursery, but for my son's big boy room that we just finished we did a transportation theme. It's something we easily could have done as a baby but also it will grow with him for a while still. Here's some stuff we used:

and I did simple bedding, won't link since it doesn't apply to a nursery but it's just grey with white stars. I also got this fabric to make a pillow sham but haven't gotten around to that yet...

I'm pretty lame. I don't feel like doing too much, so its going to be just a cute baby room and then when they get older and have their own rooms and personalities, I will let them choose how they want to decorate their bedrooms.
However, I did contemplate a Harry Potter themed nursery for a quick second...
We're not doing a theme, but I like modern, so the pic at the bottom would be pretty close to what I'd want. But back to reality... Right now, Ziggy's nursery is eclectic. We just moved into a new place two months ago and put leftovers in there. LOL
So far, he has an apple-green armoire, a wool rug, part of a Chinese wedding bed, and a llama that looks like this without the legs. DH and I are still throwing around paint color ideas. We'll probably go with grey. And I'll make another set of the cheesy black and white posters I hung by my DDs cribs.
