My ILs watched the kids a week ago so we could go and see a movie. Big A slept through it like usual but little A...well he doesn't sleep, right?
Well, he screamed the entire time. They walked, they padded, they sang, they bounced. FiL took him for a car ride. Nothing. Just like so nearly every night.
So I got an email from them this morning, saying 'being with Aidan and experiencing wht you go through every day and every night makes us appreciate once more what great parents you and Andrew are. We really had no idea, even after having raised four of our own. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help out.'
I teared up.

They took a stool sample came back completely normal. There is no blood, no mucous, no weird colors. They think it is his digestive system maturing. Or, more so, they have no idea. Which they mean when they say colic.
He does have reflux and is on meds. They help. A lot. But he is still a pretty unhappy guy.
I never had Edison tested, but he reacted to milk (never had blood etc either), but I self diagnosed and never cut out soy. Just ALL milk products. Butter...everything. Totally a PIA and no one in my family truely believed me (except DH who witnessed it), but he got better after that.
aww I'm so glad to hear that they're being understanding. When our DD was crying so much I felt all this added pressure because nobody understood and they just wanted a happy baby. It's so great that they're supporting you.
Hugs.
