Dumb things DH says..

They've all said it.. that something that makes you go 'HUH!??'
The other morning we were all 3 in the bed and LO was fussing. He was just ready to get up at play at 530am! and I was just laying there begging for 5 more minutes. Then DH said it.. 'He needs to learn that he sleeps when WE sleep.' Phahahaha! Right. My bad for not training him correctly. He is just clueless sometimes haha!
Anyone else? Please dont let me be the only one with a husband that is that ridiculous!

Re: Dumb things DH says..

  • MH doesn't often say things that make me go "HUH?!?" But there are 2 that come to mind that he said a few months ago, both on the same night... He was in rare form that night.  He comes home from work, we ate dinner, then after dinner he says "You need a break for a little bit.  Here let me take her so you can do the dishes."... Ummmmm, doing the dishes does not constitute as a break, lol.  Then later that night we were all playing together and he mentions to me that he wished he had a little alone time sometimes.  I stared at him blankly then said "ummmm, try again", giving him a chance to redeem or undo his comment.  FTR, I am a very happy SAHM, but have not had a moment to myself in months.  He drives to and from work by himself 5 days a week and is "alone" in his office for hours a day.  I get that he probably wants some alone at home time, but at that point, I was doing bedtime every night and that took 1.5-2 hours.  So he had that time alone.  The next morning he was like "You know, it's not really right for me to complain about alone time, you never get a break, I'm sorry"... Redeemed!

  • I don't know if it's really a "Huh?" thing, but it's something that makes me stew inside. I get up at 6:30 to get to work by 7:30, and the every other day have LO, which means I'm up earlier feeding her and then have to get ready for work. Well I get home and he tells me all about how, after I left, they went back to bed and slept until 9:30 or so. So, he got at least 3 more hours of sleep than I did. Then he has the nads to complain about how tired he is and how he needs a nap. I want to kick him in the knee at that point, and I give him "the look" and he just laughs and says "Oh yeah, you didn't want to hear about that right?" Stupid man, makes me so grumpy. LOL

Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.

  • I will ask DH to do something for the baby, and he will go, but "I just fed him dinner" ! Like I don't do that 90% of the time, plus most everything else! He catches it pretty quick though, and goes, "I mean I got to feed him dinner tonight."
