I'm trying to build up DS's library and I don't want to keep reading the same books to him over & over again. Please recommend your favorite baby book(s). Thanks!
There are a ton of favorites. I just put together a pretty comprehensive list of must-haves myself.
My favorite baby book is Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton, Baby Girl loves it.
But my favorite children's book that Baby Girl owns is Little Jordan Ray's Muddy Spud by Gris Grimmly. I'd never heard of it before my best friends gave it to me at my shower, and I love it.
Oooohhh, I second good night moon. I think my other favorite is I love you more. Dd is sleeping right now, otherwise I'd look at her stash. Oh wait, there is one called squishy turtle, it's one of those chewable, crunchy ones.

I love a lot of the ones already listed but I have to say Mr. Brown Can Moo by Dr. Seuss is the favorite in this household. My LO laughs just seeing the cover of the book he likes it so much.
Nancy Tillman books we use at bedtime (It's Time To Sleep, My Love - On the Night You Were Born - Where You Are: My Love Will Find You) but let's be honest, those are more for me than for him. I still start to tear up a little bit every time I read them.
A couple that we got for Christmas that I really like (and haven't seen listed already) are Silly Sally and Is Your Mama a Llama. DD still doesn't seem terribly interested in books, other than eating them, but I prefer those over some of her other ones.
Our 3 favorites are Goodnight, I love you; I Love You Through Through; and How Much I Love You. They're all by the same author, but I can't remember her name.
We also love Peas on Earth, I love you stinky face, on the night you were born and Oliver ;]

Re: recommend your favorite baby book
We love anything Sandra Boynton! They are quick reads, "chewable" and will be a good first read when LO starts learning and sounding out words.
