In search of Clarksville, TN OB

Hi there.  I'm living in Clarksville.  We're military and I've been using Tricare Standard as my insurance.  I'm currently seeing Dr. Lisa McIntosh as my OB, but we just haven't clicked and she doesn't seem to take my concerns seriously (especially in relation to my thyroid condition), so I'm looking for a new OB in the area.  Dr. Lisa considers me high risk due to an autoimmune disorder, so that should be taken into consideration.  I'm really afraid of just picking a new OB off my insurance list w/o having some sort of personal review from someone because I'm really afraid of dealing with someone just as bad, if not worse, than my current OB.

I don't have any requirements for delivery, etc., because we're PCSing in April to upstate NY, so I'll be delivering up there this summer.  I just need someone here to get me through the next few months.

Thanks in advance for your help.  My next appointment with OB is Feb. 7th, so I'd like to have a new OB by then.

Re: In search of Clarksville, TN OB

  • I used to live in clarksville and gave birth to my son at Gateway Hospital. She is not on post.. but I went to Clarksville OBGYN and my dr. was Dr. Jennifer Johnston and she was absolutely amazing. If i was still in clarksville, then I would def. have her deliver this next baby too. Goodluck and hope this helps

  • Several friends and myself all used Drs. From Premier OBGYN. We all liked our OBs and had good birth experiences with them.
  • I'm currently using Premier OB/GYN. They're fantastic. The staff is great and the doctors I've had experience with are wonderful. Currently I'm seeing Dr. Hamre but I've seen Dr. Cabell and Dr. Sawyer in the past.
