So thankfully everything ended up ok but it was a pretty scary morning!
I woke up this morning feeling ok but I have been sick the last few days so I figured I just was still getting over it. So I got ready to went to church. Well I was in church and I started feeling really light headed and queasy and just thought oh this must be my morning sickness coming back. So I got up went to the bathroom and came back. I sat back down and then cramps started and I thought oh this must be BH so I tried to ignore it but it just got worse and worse and I could just feel the blood draining from my face. I then told my mom that I needed to go to LD that something wasn't right. So we get in the car and pick up FI and head to the hospital.
I get checked in and they take a urine sample and it is a brown color..which I found out later was blood.. Not good. So long story short I had to have blood drawn and labs done and an ultrasound of my kidneys and bladder good news is baby girl is head down now! and two bags of fluid bc I was severely dehydrated. Turns out I have a kidney stone a bacterial infection and yeast infection on top of being sick the last couple of days leading to dehydration. Awesome... They got me on medication and pain meds for when I'm trying to pass the stone. I've never had a kidney stone before so I had no idea! Good news is baby is fine and looks great and my cervix is high closed and tight. Now I have to make an appointment this week for follow up exams .. Definitely not the way I wanted to spend my Sunday but glad that I didn't wait bc it could have gotten a lot worse. So lots of rest and water for this girl!
Don't hesitate to go to LD if you feel like something isn't right! You know your body better than anyone and if something feels off it never hurts to let them look!
Re: LD not fun! Long
Glad everything turned out to be alright!
Woo, kidney stones are no joke too! I had one a few months after I had DD2 and it was so painful. A word of advice on the stone - don't blow off the follow-up appointments and have the doc make absolutely sure the stone's passed because the stone can remain in your ureter and you may actually stop feeling pain. That's what happened to me. They said that if the pain stopped I'd passed it - but in reality it ended up being lodged in my ureter for over a month and by the time I started feeling pain again the stone had doubled in size and my kidney had tripled in size! Any longer and it could have resulted in permanent damage - not cool at all. If they don't already suggest some type of imaging (for me they used a CT scan to find the stone in the first place, and then an ultrasound to make sure it was gone) I'd insist on it.
// I love you too. //
Ty! Wow yeah I defiantly won't blow off those appointments that sounds even more awful! Sorry u went through that!
