Help me understand

Whenever I see parties with a theme, they often have decorated bottled water. Is this just to have something more to decorate? Would you just have bottled water out at a party with no theme? I've never seen this in real life.

Re: Help me understand

  • I saw it IRL at a bridal shower last summer. It was a Paris theme and they had printed labels for the water bottles. I guess if you're crafty and creative then it's a cute addition. But its certainly not something I would find necessary at a party and definitely wouldn't do it myself.

  • It's cute and I think it adds to the theme. We usually throw bottled water in a cooler or the fridge if we have a party. I won't be decorating ours mostly because it seems like too much to do.

  • It's just for looks.

  • I had decorated water bottles at my sons 3rd birthday last September.  We did have the party at a park so we would of had the water bottles anyway...and it was just a cute way to add more decorations.  I love to add as many touches as I can.  If we wouldn't of had the bottles I wouldn't of added them just to have the labels.

His party was Cowboy theme and I just added the denim duct tape to the bottles.  I wanted the red paisley but you had to order it online and I wasn't going to spend that much on it.

  • I think it's cute, but I try to avoid water bottles if I can, so I don't see myself going out of my way to buy and decorate them for a party.  I would rather run a load of dishes than create that much recycling.  Granted, I rarely have more than 20-25 people at one time, so it's not a big deal.  I have plenty of glassware and pitchers for people to use.

  • It's definitely just another thing to decorate, IMO. We're doing it for A's party, only because we got a huge printable set from ETSY that included them. if they didn't come with it,  I wouldn't have purchased them separately!

  • I had them for L's party.  They were just something I made one night while I was bored.  I got alot of compliments on them and just recycled the water bottles at the end of the party.
