I stole this from the old check in....

This group is for those of us dealing with male factor issues. We welcome everyone but mostly we are dealing with low count, motility, morphology or all three. Male infertility is a mysterious world filled with questions no one, including REs, urologists, acupuncturists or anyone else seem to have the answers to. Any treatment suggested is a coin toss for success and a 3 month wait for a fresh batch of swimmers. Most of us are told the only answer is IUI or IVF w/ICSI. The purpose of this group is to support each other through shared experiences and to share any info we can because the more informed we are the better. We have a check in every Sunday. Welcome and GL and PPVs to all!

Hi ladies! AF finally came yesterday so we should be good to go for a fet on 3/20. Seems like so far away so hopefully time flies!

I don't cook very much but I do make a mean Italian beef for sandwiches.

Thanks for the hugs. We have an IVF consult tomorrow, so I'll hopefully have a better idea of our plan after that. But we are planning to start IVF in March/April.

I love to cook! I make a great veggie lasagna :-)

Hi Ladies!

Just chugging along on BCP. Stims for IVF#1 start 2/2. DH is going this week to try to freeze a sample after being on Clomid and CoQ10 since September. Cross you fingers that we have good sperm!

Sending hugs to all those who need them.

We transferred 1 beautiful grade 1AA hatching blast yesterday and I just learned we also have 2 to freeze as well! We did ICSI and AH wasn't needed! Now the dreaded 2ww, really it's more of a 10 day wait but it still sucks.

QOTW: I make a really great white chicken chili that I top with fresh lime juice, Greek yogurt and tortilla chips that is delish. And healthy too!

Currently in the 2WW for IVF #2! Today is 4dp5td (2 blasts!)! Trusting God that this is it!!!

QOTW: I'm from the south...so I know how to make me some chicken casseroles :P Other than that, my awesome DH makes the yummy meals! And I'm ok with that!

IVF 2 was a BFN. We decided to move on and get a second opinion, that appointment is on the 8th and we'll see from there what we are going to do next.
I make a really good corn chowder!

Hello everyone. My beta for FET#3 is tomorrow but all the FRERs have been saying it will be a BFN, so not very hopeful. DH also managed to p*ss me off yesterday and I didn't speak to him until now when I opened my mouth again and said some nasty but necessary things. What a crappy weekend... FU IF!

Although I'm not a natural in the kitchen there are some recipes that I've mastered. My favorite is fish fillet a la puttanesca.

No new news here but just wanted to say GL to the ladies cycling now and huge hugs to those who need them..

Q: I don't cook but DH loves to cook. I help with simple things like cutting veggies and stirring sauces. I am also a fabulous dish washer haha

Hey Ladies! Things with me have been better, that's for sure! I have come full circle and am back on Lupron, prepping for an FET. After overstimming and not being able to go through with transfer today, I found out we only had 1 embryo make it to freeze. We have 4 more that are still being watched, 3 of which I was told are looking very promising. I have a bad feeling though, considering they should be full blasts by day 5, but I would be thrilled if a miracle happens, and we can get 1 more to freeze.

QOTD: I love to cook, but everything I make is pretty healthy, so it's always a challenge to find good healthy recpes that MH likes too. I have a few great chicken recipes, pastas with seafood, stir fry, turkey tacos... Tonight I am making a whole wheat Boboli pizza with ground lean italian sausage, sauteed onions, mushroom, green pepper & garlic, topped with low fat mozzerella. This was how I weaned MH off off of real pizza. It's a great substitute & very yummy!

I'm still on bcp for ivf #1. I have been on them for 7 days and I have had a lot of spotting so I am a little concerned. I plan on emailing my nurse tomorrow.

QOTW: We love to cook. We do a lot of ethnic inspired dishes. I think my favorite is our spicy udon noodle bowl with shrimp and tofu.

Met with the urologist last week, and he decided to put DH on Clomid for 3-6 months. He's hopeful that he can get his numbers up high enough that we can try IUI? We've heard this before with other treatments and it got even worse, so we're not holding our breath. Plus, with the antibodies being so high it's not likely that the numbers will be high enough to counteract that. But, there's always hope, right? So, no IVF until at least May. If his numbers go up at all at the check in April, then we'll likely continue with the Clomid for another 3 months and see what happens after that. If it goes down or stays the same, then we'll go ahead with IVF/ICSI after the SA in April. I hate all this waiting and trial and error!

QOTW: I love to cook and bake! The past 2 Christmasses I've made beef wellington, which was a huge hit and is absolutely delicious! I'd eat it every day if I could. For regular meals, one of my favourite things to make and eat is Mexican lasagne.

QOTW: I'm not a big cooker... sadly DH and I order in the majority of nights. But I do make a pretty bangin Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup when one of us is sick. I put in ginger, garlic, and a jalepeno to open everything up! My DH never takes medicine, he swears the soup will cure anything!

Hi all, I'm deciding if today is day one or just spotting. But either way baseline ultrasound and bloodwork will be in a few days! Hopefully we get the all clear.

I love to cook when I have time but DH and I both work long hours. I make some pretty yummy risotto dishes when time permits

Still hanging out on Lupron. I go in on Wednesday morning for baseline and will hopefully be given the go ahead to start stims a week from tomorrow.

QOTW: I am an okay cook at most basic things, but don't really have any specialties. DH loves my homemade guacamole. And I just made a big loaf pf pumpkin break tonight (from a box).

QOTW: I make Pioneer Woman's Dr. Pepper pork and cilatro/lime rice with a can of pinto beans with bacon..It's like Chipotle at home. I love to cook.

I had a baseline ultrasound yesterday on CD4, started 50mg Clomid today and take it for 5 days, ordering the donor sperm this week, then next monday another ultrasound and if all is well I will trigger than night, then in a day or 2 we do the DIUI. So, excited to finally be moving forward!

QOTD: I love making my crock pot potato soup, especially on cold nights, and I make so much, we end up eating it all week.

I just finished 5 days of clomid 50mg and today I feel like ick! Im glad I dont have to take anymore pills. If everything goes as planned I will go into to 3 dIUI begining of feb. Here is hoping and praying third time is a charm. I love to cook right now Im on a sweet chilli kick haha. Thanks for the hugs! and HUGS to all your girls too xx

QOTD I'm the queen of soups/stews and all things comfort food. I.e. homemade Mac and cheese, Mac salads, pot pies...yummo!!

We were able to get an earlier appointment and I had all my bloodwork and tests come back at the right levels. I did need to get a MMR shot since I was not immune to Rubella. Very odd!

We are looking to do our first round of IUI in March. Fingers crossed! Now we just sit and wait.

Favorite meal? Risotto or Chili.

We are dealing with severe MFI only (low count) and just finished our 3rd fresh IVF. We transferred 3 embies on 1/23 - an 8 cell grade 1 - a 6 cell grade 1 and 6 cell grade 2, my beta is on 2/4. I am so nevous as this was the last fresh cycle in our shared risk package....on 1/21 I had 20 eggs retrieved, 16 mature and only 7 fertilized - my hubby's sperm count was so low on retrieval day they had to a 2nd sample. Because it was so low this cycle we could not do PICSI but did ICSI, assisted hatching and coculture. Our story is long I will try to keep it as short as possible. I just turned 33 and have no issues, my hubby is 41. We did a bunch of unsuccessful IUIs (only because our insurance covered these unlimited, it does not cover IVF - first fresh IVF failed in July we had 15 eggs retrieved/12 mature/9 fertilized with ICSI - day 3 transfer of two 8 celled embies; a failed FET in August we used the 3 embies leftover from the first fresh cycle - one 5 celled - two six celled; I then had a D&C with hysteroscopy to "freshen up" my insides and everything looked good - our 2nd fresh IVF in November had 5 eggs retrieved/4 mature/2 fertilized and transferred on day 2 and brought us our very first BFP on 11/20 (we did ICSI, PICSI, assisted hatching and coculture) but it was short lived....on that day my beta was 49.6 - on 11/23 it only went up to 66 - on 11/26 dropped to 9 and I had cramping and heavy bleeding/clotting (sorry TMI!) and on 11/28 dropped to 2.7 - a confirmed CP

For this last fresh cycle in our shared risk package I did have another D&C with hysteroscopy to clean me out on 12/5. Also with this cycle I have been doing acupuncture once a week since the first week of December and did a session and (massage) the day before retrieval, a session the day of transfer and doing another session tonight. This close to 3 year journey has been long and hard for us but we really feel in our hearts we will be blessed...good luck to you all!
