I know this will vary, but just wondering...how much do you pay for preschool? Is it religiously affiliated? How many days per week?
We're going to an open house for a catholic preschool tomorrow the 3 yo class is Tue Thurs 8:15 to 11:15 and is 130 per month. DH and I couldn't believe how reasonable this was. Their 4 year old class goes full time 8:15 to 3:15 if enough people register and is only 330. But their kindergarten through 8th is 6300 annually, so I think they try to suck you in with the low rates early on.
Anyone else willing to share pricing?
Re: 3 yo preschool costs?
DD1 is in the 2.5 yo playschool (there's a 2yo, 2.5yo, 3yo, and 4yo class). She goes for 2.5 hours twice a week. We pay $116/month for that.
ETA: No religious affiliation. Here's the rates:
DD goes to a Montessori school that is affiliated with the Presbyterian church. She goes 5 days per week from 8:30-2:30. I pay $485 a month. This includes her snack and lunch. She also gets Spanish lessons twice a week, as well as an art and music class.
Will they be teaching your LO, or will it primarily be childcare and playing? I don't mind paying extra if I know DD is receiving instruction.
DD goes to a Catholic preschool and we pay $140 a month.
ETA: She goes 3 mornings a week.
We do preschool through the YMCA right now.
The 2 yo program is 2 days/week from 9:15-10:45. I think we pay about $50/month as members.
The 3 yo program is 2 days/week from 9:15-11:15. It is about $67/month for members or $100/month for non-members.

No religious affiliation. We're in the Puget Sound, so we have a higher than average cost of living. (Where are you? Those rates sound dirt cheap to me!)
For the 2-3yr olds, 2 days a week, 2 hours a day, it's $225/mo.
For the 3-4yr olds, 3 days a week, 2.25hrs a day, it's $325/mo.
For the 4-5yr olds, 4 days a week, 2.5hrs a day, it's $425/mo.
This works out to about $25/day. And this is a pretty reasonable price around here.
$20 to register and $76 per month. It's two days a week, 8:30-11:30.
It's at the local YMCA and that's price for members. (Which we are.)

We haven't started yet, but the school we've picked is through our local community center and costs $93/month for 1.5 hours/day, 2 days/week. When he starts Montessori at 3.5, we'll pay about $600 (currently $574 but I'm sure it'll go up) for 5 days/week, 4 hours/day.
ETA: My sister sends my nephew to Catholic preschool and pays $520/month for a full school day. The rates also increase as the children get older, but I think that's pretty standard.
We paid 140 for 2 days(2.5 hours) for 3s and now pay 175 for 3 days(2.5 hours) for 4s. The YMCA runs the program.
We are sending him to Catholic school for kindergarten and will pay 380 a month. They have a full day preschool program for 4 year olds. It's 400 a month since they cap the class at 15 kids(k-8 classes are 25 kids)
my read shelf:
Dartmouth school out here is 2x a week and $900 a mmonth
regular preschool 2x a week is $200-500 ...we pay $300
I'm jealous how cheap preschool is.
We do 2 days a week 2.5 hours through the Y. It's $255 a MONTH. It seems like many other Y members pay a lot less--that is weird!
DS goes to a Montessori. The price for the 3-6yo room ranges based on how long you're in there but for a half day (5 days/wk) it's $890/mo. No religious affiliation.
The prek we're also considering in our neighborhood that is affiliated with a Catholic church is about $7k annually for 5 half days.
Either way we'd pay more since we need care. The Montessori is $1300/mo FT. To add after care to the Catholic prek, I think it adds on another $3k or so annually, which still makes it cheaper but I also don't know if we can get in (we might move, we have done nothing to apply, etc.).
DS's school offers a PT program, 4 days a week from 9-12 for $565/month
As a 3 year old, you can go 5 days, 8-4 for $1010 a month.
LOL.
In NYC, 3 days a week 3 hours a day is $12,000 - $20,000 for 9 months.
I need to move...
