Gah. I've only been on Vivelle Dot for 4 days but I've had a headache since the first day I put it on. It's driving me nuts. I don't want to do anything. I feel like it gets worse every day.
Also, I got a new nurse and she sucks. I told her I was having terrible cramps and discharge. She told me "Well, you just did IVF so things will be weird for a while." Seriously? That's all you've got? I knew it wasn't normal so I made an appointment with my OBGYN. I have a bad infection. Don't even ask me how that's possible with the antibiotics and steroids I've been on for like a month. Then I called her back to report my labs and to tell her that she was wrong to blow me off like she did. She didn't even care. At least my progesterone and estridol levels are pretty good.
Re: Holy estrogen headache batman! And a vent
Snappy, know it all nurses get on my nerves. I've had a few doctors like that too. My oncologist was such an ass that I did request to be changed. Believe it or not, they wouldn't let me. Can you request your old one again?
I hope you get to feeling better!

Seriously! Bring that up to your doc...that's not cool at all. And they should know better...antibiotics and steroids can BOTH cause yeast infections. You would think they'd be more concerned with the on-goings of your va-jay-jay during your cycle.
I'd definitely make a stink about it...then you can blame the hormones, lol!
Feel better soon!
3 Clomid IUIs -- BFNs
IVF #1 never made it to transfer
On "egg health" cocktail DHEA/CoQ10/FRC/Pregnitude/Melatonin

Follistim/Menopur/Ganirelix
Cancelled mid-cycle due to high P4 levels early on.
OCPs again for IVF 2.5 mid-March. IVF 2.5 transferred two "gorgeous" 5-day blasts and BFFN. Even REI is baffled
On indefinite hold until a huge stroke of serendipity led me to IVF 3 May 2014
Testing found positive cardiolipins/APS, now on lovenox and intralipid infusions
Transfer of 2 5-day blasts and (FINALLY) BFFP!! 1st ultrasound shows two sacs and two HB, but one is sluggish, almost expecting vanishing twin Subsequent ultrasound confirmed vanishing twin, but my other Little critter looks fantastic!

I hate bitchy nurses!!! I've got one, too!
I'm sorry about your headaches - I had horrible headaches while on Clomid (and lucky me read that only 1% of women reported headaches). I took 2 Excedrine every morning to prevent the headaches and it worked like a charm. Can you take acetaminophen? I've read to caution against NSAIDs when pregnant/trying to conceive.
Good luck!!!

I need to pick up some Tylenol... that's the only thing I'm cleared to take. I won't be dealing with the REs office much anymore. They'll monitor my hormone levels and the on call nurse will call me with results but that's pretty much it. They wrote orders for everything else for my OBGYN to do. I can email my RE directly. I think I'll do that and just explain how the convo went because it was actually pretty insulting the way she totally blew me off.
It isn't a yeast infection. It's a regular old bacterial infection. That's why it confuses me! Oh well, I feel WAY better after only a couple of days on a different antibiotic.
