So which feeding would I wean first: the before bed nursing session or the motn session?
My plan was to wean to WCM during the day first (once he hits 1 year) and then cut out the motn feeding and then the before bed feeding. . . but I don't know what way to do it. Honestly, I could probably cut them out now, he drinks 10-15 oz at daycare, plus a nursing session in the morning and sometimes in the evening, plus 1-4 oz with dinner, and 3 meals of solids.
Re: BF weaning question
If I have freezer milk left-over after his first birthday and weaning him to WCM during the day, then I was going to use that @ night until it's gone. (That way H can experience the joy that is nightfeeding.
Otherwise, I was going to offer just one boob instead of both for a bit and then cut it out entirely. I haven't started the process yet though and have no idea if I'll be going about it correctly.
I'm interested in knowing how you just stopped.
I would cut out the MOTN feeding first.
DH would go in and get him back to sleep when he'd wake up. Sometimes he'll fall back asleep right away, sometimes it takes 10 minutes. I haven't done a MOTN feeding in about 2 weeks now.
That was my thinking too.
(Is that face a sleepy guy. . .? I dunno, but that's what I'm going with. I wanted to use an emoticon.)
Edit- whoops, I meant to quote Penny's sleep comment.
