Right, well we are really religious. Just made a few mistakes along the way. Luckily i have never seen Eden Wood on Toddlers and Tiaras but every time I bring up the name that's what somebody says. It's KIND OF a turn off for me.. but like you said its a name i can really appreciate, and I don't know many Edens. Thanks for your opinions they really helped!!
I don't really get the appeal. I mean the name sounds pretty on its own, but I don't get why anyone would want to name their baby after the garden where original sin originated.
Really? I would assume the opposite. I can't see how anyone really religious would want to name their baby Eden considering the biblical connotations associated with the garden: original sin, fall of man, etc.

I think it's a pretty name for a girl. I would not let the toddlers+tiaras association sway you, a majority of the U.S. population has not seen the show or cares about that girl anyway. GL!

Eden was a girl name that I had picked out. I really loved it about 9 months ago, but I have since lost interest (no real reason, just my style has changed).
A PP said that it was the place where sin originated. While that is true, that is not what I thought of first. I first thought of a beautiful garden of paradise.

I Love Eden! I am what most would say very religious and the first thing I think of is the most beautiful garden where God created the first man and woman. Going off what pp have said regarding sin, then Adam is a bad name also.
Thanks for the wonderful opinions... I don't think of it as where sin was originated, i think of it as where a beautiful place where man and women originated. I appreciate everyone's response

I think Eden is a gorgeous name. Love the idea of naming a child after paradise. (Can't hurt the self-esteem, right?)
