Hey Everyone,
My husband and I are going to start trying in May. I've read some things on the board about baylor grapevine, but I just wanted to see if you have had any information on Dr. New and Grapevine OBGYN. I really want a natural childbirth, and heard he's the man to allow that happen. Anyone have any experience with him? Does he allow a doula? How many people are allowed in the delivery room? Thanks in advance!
Re: BAYLOR GRAPEVINE- DR. NEW
I just had my LO there in Dec. I have no complaints with Baylor, infact I was hospitalized for observation for 3 days during my pregnancy and then during the labor all my nurses were wonderful! My experience was that they allowed me to do whatever I wanted as long as my Dr. was okay with it and it didn't put me or baby at risk. Baylor allows two people in the delivery room, that is dad +1.
I don't know anything about Dr. New but you may want to look into Dr. Monica Lopez at Women's Intigrated Healthcare. She is my Dr. I had some complications with my pregnancy that she said could warant a C-section to help me if I wanted but I expressed to her that I wanted to try and have my baby naturally. She told me she allows moms to have the labor they want as long as baby and mom are not at risk. Just in case you want to have a few options. I have been with her 5 years and I just love her. This was my first and she was absolutly wonderful walking me through the birth.
Good luck
