On birth control, period for 2 weeks, craving hot dogs

Hey! I really need some help/advice. I am on birth control (the kind where I shouldn't have a period for 3 months and then it should be a light 3-7 day period. I am, though, in my second month of my current pack and I have had a period for 2 weeks now...not cool! And I am craving hot dogs. I am wondering if I am just iron deficient and craving the iron in the hot dogs or if I could be pregnant.

If you think you may be pregnant, take a hpt.

There are lots of reasons for breakthrough bleeding on bcp and if you're concerned, I'd call your obgyn.

And I love me a good hot dog.

If you've been bleeding for 2 weeks, I'm going to bet you aren't pregnant. BC can do wacky things to your body for sure! But, 2 weeks of bleeding is a lot. I would suggest calling your Dr. Incidentally, iron deficiency is certainly NOT out of the question if you've been bleeding that long.

I had excessive spotting with Mirena and my doctor did some tests and decided my estrogen levels were too low. To me that doesn't make sense, the more estrogen the more you bleed so why would I have an issue with too little estrogen? Idk...that was her verdict though...so maybe you just have a temporary hormone imbalance?
