WTF moment last night

My DD1 has a cold coming on so we took her to Olive Garden for breadsticks.  Comfort food....ya know?  Who doesn't like bread sticks?  Anyways, she started coughing while eating and said "MY NOSE" and started rubbing her nose hard.  Then she started sneezing and coughing.  I kept wiping her nose and we got the check.  I had a nose blub in the car and wanted to use it.  After a few minutes of this, it stopped as suddenly as it started.  Out of no where I see something yellow coming out of her nose. I thought it was yellow snot so I grab a napkin and go to clean it.  It was a spaghetti noodle!!!!!!!!!!  How the hell did that get in there?  I am happy its out but damn- how the hell did that happen?

  • This may be TMI, but one time I was eating carrots and swallowed oddly and carrot pieces ended up in my nose. It was slightly painful, but I knew what had happened, so I blew my nose and they came out. Gross!  It kind of felt a little like getting water up my nose.

  • I would appreciate this story a lot more if it didn't involve taking your sick kid out to cough on other people

Yeah...I kinda cringed when I read "so we took her to the Olive Garden..." Why wouldn't you just get take out?!

  • It probably went up instead of down...  It's all open space between the nostril and the throat...

Yeah, I know I kinda suck.  I honestly didn't think she was that bad- just stuffy.  Could have been allergies (clear snot).  The next day (today) she woke up with yellow snot- therefore not allergies.  I still suck, I know.  Maybe this was the way I was punished.
