Faint positives three days in a row

Hello,

Congrats to all of you and your pregnancies.

I just got a faint positive on a FRER test at 12dpo (Thursday). I took another yesterday and yet another today, and they aren't getting darker, but are still there. Digitals have been negative so far (which you would expect given sensitivity levels). Has anyone on here had this happen before? During my last pregnancy, the FRERs got darker steadily (though my memory is fuzzy).

I have an appointment to get my blood drawn on Monday. The reason I am freaking out is because I had a chemical back in November. But when that happened, I was only really positive for a day or two, max (and second day got fainter).

  • Do you have a photo of the tests?

  • No, I don't (I've never really done that), but they are clearly positive (you can see them from a distance). There is no question that they are positive. They are just faint and not getting darker. It has only been three days so I will just try to distract myself and wait for the blood tests on Monday.
  • Are you testing with FMU each time?

Yup...I've been at this for a while, now so I know all the tricks. Based on what I've read about faint positives today, I'd say I have a 50/50 shot. Ugh.

  • You double every two days so I would say it just hasn't been long enough yet. My tests weren't dark until after 14 DPO but I was able to get a positive digi at 12 DPO. Also, some women say they get darker tests in the evening.

  • FRERs can pick up really low levels so it is possible that your first positive on Thursday may have been less than 10 hcg.  If that's the case then you probably would not be able to get a positive on a digital until Monday.

FX for you.  I had a chemical last month so I understand your nerves.

  • Thanks guys...after scouring the internet looking for information on this, it annoyed me that there was never any closure to various strings on "faint positives." So, in my situation, it did end up as another chemical. Very frustrating. I had my blood test on Monday and my beta was only 9.1 (after about 6 days of faint positive pregnancy tests). My temp plummeted today and I feel like I'm getting my period. I'll go in for a repeat but it is pretty obvious this isn't going to work this cycle.
