Foreign Object

DS all of a sudden became sick today. He's been acting odd, too. Clingy, always needs to have someone in the room with him, refusing to eat, and no fever. My mom-tuition is telling me foregin object. Looks like I'm on poop detail for a few days. Indifferent

Sounds exciting! I'll cross my fingers for something small and slippery.

Thanks, but if I had to guess (since I didn't actually see anything being swallowed) I'd say it was a lego.

They can swallow a lego?  O my, I have severely underestimated a toddler's gag reflex.

KUP!  Could we take bets on this and make it interesting?  LOL!

The legos that a 5 1/2 year old and 32 year old play with get pretty small. They also make flowers, tires that can be seperated from the wheel, hair brushes, and removable hair/wigs. I wouldn't put it past DS that he would eat something like that. I blame this level of exploration on the lack of paci use from DS. My DD wasn't this bad because she had a plug.

Phew! Duplo blocks aren't an issue!? lol. That would be a big BM!

Just had to say that I have never heard anyone else call the pacifier a plug besides us.  :)

  • I wish my LO would take a plug to quit eating every object in the house!

One time, he digested an entire leaf that came out whole in his poop!!

My husband thought it was pretty awesome! LO has managed to swallow several things and has got to the dog food bowl to have a meal quicker than us!

According to my mom, my eldest sister (the 1st born), ate dog food and got ahold of the kerosene bottle my dad used to start fires in the wood stove all before she was 2 yrs old. Needless to say, us subsequent children never got the chance to taste all that fun stuff.
