Why oh why...

when we have somewhere to go, naps become a nightmare!!  Every single time.  Whether its a play group, party, appointment....doesnt matter.  DS refuses to take his morning nap & then the rest of the day he is miserable!  We have my cousins shower today & DS is invited.  I was really hoping he would get a good nap in before we went!  But he had other plans... oh well.  sory just need to vent :)

    I'm sorry. :-( It's like they KNOW when things are different. I'm listening to DD "playing" in her crib instead of napping as I type this... ugh.

    Lucia's the same way. It's like they can sense it. She will fall asleep in the stroller, so if it looks like a crappy nap I just fit a long walk into our morning. Not sure if you have time left for that but just an idea.

    Ian just went down for a nap...I plan on cleaning the kitchen, putting away some laundry, cleaning the bathroom, then taking a shower and shaving my legs! He'll wake up as soon as I'm about to get in the shower, just because I really need to shave!

    Totally hear you! We usually have an hour drive to family events and that let's Nat get an hour nap...except when she decides to stay awake through half of it :P We have napping problems over here, too, so you're not alone!

    these babies!!  Thanks ladies.  He finally fell asleep.  I have to wake him up to leave but he got almost 30 minutes.  So hopefully it will be better than nothing!  Enjoy your saturday :)

    I swear Aria knows too, and won't nap well. I've figured out that if I don't do anything out of the ordinary pre-nap, she'll nap fine, but if I start to get ready before putting her down for her nap, it's like she gets excited and won't sleep.

    So, after I put her down, it's a mad rush to get ready. The fun of having babies! Stick out tongue

    My DS does the opposite trick. He is regularly a terrible sleeper, but when we have plans we will take a 2 hour nap! Oh well we will be super late but my kitchen is clean , my hair is dry, and dinner is made! Life keeps going!

    Mine is the opposite. If I have somewhere to be he will nap so long we either miss a play date or I have to wake him. If we have no plans he will sleep for about 20 minutes!
