I am wondering what the best kids' forks are. I have a few around, but they don't really poke thing. That frustrates Alastair and in the end it doesn't really help him learn to use it.
I don't like using the plastic ones. I just purchased some metal ones yesterday from IKEA for $5 (I attached the picture). Also, he has a good set that we got from the WSU student bookstore. They are metal with plastic handles.
One thing that I noticed was some of the kids ones' forks were wider than the forks that we personally use. That doesn't make sense, since the babies' mouths are smaller than ours.
We also have the NUK set, but it doesn't really matter. Nora usually attempts using utensils for about a minute, and then she throws them on the ground.

Personally I'm just paranoid about plastic and BPA leaching into the food when it gets hot. I know that BPA is an endocrine disruptor. Besides, they can poke their eye out with both plastic and/or metal.

I must have said this about twenty times today alone.
