Hi Ladies! I've been lurking on this board for awhile, but now it's starting to look more probable that I will be having a planned c section.
I have a marginal placenta previa, and the doctor is seeming much less optimistic that it will move. I know there's still time for the situation to correct, but I have some other complications that put me at higher risk for developing pre-eclampsia (positive for antibody M, and an unexplained high AFP level early in the pregnancy).
I'm currently on pelvic rest, because the doctor doesn't want me to do anything that could cause contractions. Has anyone else had this situation? If so, when did your Dr. end up performing your c section? We're just trying to figure out how panicked we should be about getting everything done before LO arrives!
Also, on an unrelated note, we live in a two story colonial with all the bedrooms upstairs. Should I expect to be sleeping on the couch after the c section, or will I be able to get upstairs to the bedroom?
