Work got busy - Because you know, that's what happens at 5 til 5 on a Friday afternoon - And then DH and I spent the evening packing and cleaning. The buyers are coming over for the inspection tomorrow morning so this place has to look decent plus we have to hit the road at 7:30AM in order to make it to the viewing.
I could certainly go for an ice cold brew right about now.
Also, I've never had a fresh orange. However, I did buy a bag of oranges and a bag of pink grapefruit and have been having a freshly squeezed glass of juice every evening this week. Bring on the vitamins!
Native, how did the fam enjoy their dinner? Any leftovers by any chance?
It was pretty much a success! Most of DD2's food went onto the floor, but everyone else nommed admirably, and I don't really think one helping of sweet potatoes (that mom went and mixed a LEMON RIND into for some reason, lol) and one small cod fillet could really be considered leftovers.
It's whatevs, man, I'm just good like that!
I just got done mixing up two batches of pancake batter for tomorrow morning, too. One has banana chunks in it and one has blueberries in it. Here's hoping breakfast is a hit too!
I'm really hoping to sell my family on the 100 Days of Real Food thing. Mom is trying - she went out and got DD2 some organic banana yogurt and some Kashi brownie snacks for DD1. Ingredients lists are a bit long on them, but not terrible and I didn't want to rain on her parade, so I told her thanks and great job and plan on actually giving them to the kids just so she'll keep trying to hop on board, lol.

Just kidding, hah. But if you ever get the chance to pluck an orange off the branch and take a bite, YOU DO IT.

SUCCESS! And kudos to your mom for trying - and to you for not raining on her parade. I suck at holding my tongue, so I probably would have said something, but your way is much better

Kind of unlikely given where I live, but you just never know...
Re: Look what you did!
Also, I apologize for bailing out earlier.
