I'm wanting to do a small scale mural of DD's handprint and footprint as a keepsake to frame on her BR wall.
Any suggestions on babysafe paints? Going to be a fun event for DD and I.

RE: finger paint recipes, cornstarch, water, food color mixture. How is the staying power?

Re: Baby safe finger paints?
Do you want it to be paint? You could try ink that usually washes of pretty easy (especially with a baby wipe). But if you really want to use paint--if you are on pintres--I know there are several recipes floating around on that site, plus you could probably Google it and get a hundred different ideas.
GL!
When I made DH's christmas present I just used regular tempra or acrylic (water based) paints, painted it on his feet, did what I needed to do, then went and washed it off. It wasn't that I wanted him to play in it, I just needed his prints and we were done.
If it is actually going to be something he will play with, like on his high chair tray, I will probably just mix flour, water and food coloring (the liquid kind not the gel, those stain little hands) and let him push it around the tray. If he eats it, oh well. There is nothing there to hurt him.
Hope this helps! Have fun and good luck.
Ty!
