At first, they wanted her to start Feb 25. I was like "sooooo where is she going to sit for the month and a half before I go on leave". Then it was decided that Feb 25 was too early of a start date for her. And they're also going to look into getting her a computer so she can actually get some work done at some point before I leave. I mean, I assume the first week or so she'll pretty much be sitting in my lap, but after that, I would hope she is able to start working on something on her own (and leave me alone long enough to keep up with you guys!)

I always hated having someone shadow me at work, there's something exhausting about someone watching what you do all.day.long and having stop to explain the most mundane tasks. Hopefully you'll have a quick learner on your hands and can get her working independently sooner than later!
