Ohhh poop!

Before lunch, I looked over and DD was pinching her nose and saying "stinky" while getting out her changing pad. So I head over to see what's going on in her diaper. Wet, but that's it. She's had a rash and I wanted to give her some air time, so I said, "mommy's going to go wash her hands, and then I'll come right back to put on your diaper."

I gathered up some snack-related trash to take into the kitchen with me, then went and washed up. DH was coming out of the powder room at the same time, so we both walked into the living room. Only to find that in no more than three minutes time, DD had climbed up onto the countertop of her play kitchen, pooped, and then hopped back down to continue to play! DH was, of course, laughing, while I was shrilly saying, "Is...is that...poop? Are we looking at poop on her kitchen counter??" over and over again. Then I found that one of her feet was still in her footie pjs, and there was poop that had missed the counter top and ended up in going down her leg, and she was walking around on it. EW!

So we took her up to put her in a shower and rinse off, and to wash out her pajamas. Luckily, she wasn't too wound up, as she normally hates anything sticky or stuck to her. We were laughing a lot at this point until Dh said, "Ummm,....where's the dog?"

Yup. You guess it. The dog was downstairs "cleaning up"....GROSS!!!

After much cleaning and scrubbing and sanitizing of M, her clothes, and the play kitchen, I am going to do nothing during her nap. I'm really hoping this isn't any indication as to how the rest of the weekend will go for us. Happy Friday, everyone!

Sorry, but it's kind of hard not to laugh. That is, until you get to the dog part. EWWWW!

On the topic of dogs and their nasty eating habits: My friend had a party one night, and the next day we found the neighbour's dog "cleaning" the puke out by the sidewalk. ::barf::
