I feel like I should know the answer to this.
My boys are 6w today and we're still writing an x on Max's hand to tell them apart. They were di/di, but the only difference we've seen is that Miles' nose is more upturned. I know babies really all look similar at this age, so...with ID twins, what physical traits other than DNA have to be ID? I'm not sure what should point us in the direction of testing, you know?

How to tell my boys apart

This.
Mine too. They've always been almost the exact same weight (to this day, never more than 6 oz. difference), but when they were newborns, one had a flat head and longer hair in the front. Everyone had trouble telling them apart when they had a hat on though. As they got older and their new hair came in, it was eactly the same. Same color, same curls, and of course, everything else mentioned above.
I would have them tested if you're having trouble telling them apart (that is, if you really just have to know!). Mine were di/di too and we did the test through Proactive Genetics when they were 13 months old.
Do you know their blood types? That would be another indicator.
I would wait until they are older and see if they continue to look the same. My girls are ID, but don't look alike, so I always laugh a little at this question because looks alone do not indicate ID. I know many friends who can line up all of their children's newborn pictures (girls and boys) and because they are siblings they all look alike. At that age, they just do.
