Eloise is finally having yellow seedy poops again. She had been having thick green poop for a few days accompanied by fussiness.
It's been like 5.5 days since I cut out dairy but since it's been such a short time is it unlikely that the dairy is what was causing the green poop? I really didn't eat much dairy to begin with so I would think it would process out of me quickly but everything I read said it would take 1.5 to 3 weeks. I suppose I could test it by eating lots of cheese and seeing if it goes bad again but I don't really wan to do that to her.
If you went dairy free how long did it take to see changes in your LO?
Re: Dairy-free question
Did you cut out all dairy, including hidden dairy or just obvious dairy stuff?
From what I understand it can take a good couple of weeks.
All dairy, including hidden. I pretty much only eat fresh stuff like eggs, oats, fruits & vegetables right now.
Good. I'd give it a good two weeks and if she doesn't get better maybe talk with her Pedi.
I am in the exact same boat. Olive was throwing up quite a bit and the doc prescribed zantac for her but it made me uncomfortable giving it to her and she wasn't screaming from throwing up, but just like you said her poops were also green. I did my research and have cut out dairy since the 20th, I noticed a change in her almost immediately. She stopped throwing up and poops were gradually going back to more yellow.
On the 24th I had a soy latte and soy/almond non dairy ice cream and all day yesterday she was throwing up, unhappy, gassy, poops were more green sooo I think she also hates soy.
I also thought that it would take weeks to see an improvement but I don't think any of this is coincidence. I'm cutting out dairy and soy now and in a week or two I will drink a cup of milk and wait a day or two to see how she reacts to it.
and everything I love has milk or soy so I'm like starving half the day lol because I'm too lazy to actually cook...what are you eating for quick, filling meals during the day? I'd love some ideas!!!!!
Does she still have an intolerance to dairy or did she grow out of it?
I really didn't have much dairy before so it hasn't been too difficult for me.
For breakfast pretty much every day I have 2 hardboiled eggs and some granola. For lunch today I had a big salad and some naan with fake butter & garlic salt. I had a handful of peanuts for a snack. I have hummus and guacamole in place of the mediterranean dip I'm in love with but now can't eat. I eat beans & rice a lot. Oatmeal. Apple & peanut butter. I'm sort of a snack eater.
It can be but it isn't always because of too much foremilk. The consistency of hers wasn't "frothy" like I've heard too much foremilk makes poop change to and I've tried every technique over the past couple weeks to check if it's an imbalance and nothing made it better. The poop she was having was thicker and sort of stretchy so it might have been mucusy which seems to go along with a food sensitivity or illness and she's not sick.
