I have a complicated history (as we all do).
IVF1-3 were all done with my eggs and my husbands sperm - all BFN.
IVF 4 with did with my egg and 1/2 DS 1/2 husbands sperm - BFN (and did not show a significat difference in embryo quality between the groups).
So we consulted with several more clinics and they all agreed we had an egg quality issue as well - but not something that couldn't be overcome with supplements and a change to prototcol. So the plan was to do one more IVF with both my eggs and husbands sperm. Then we did some immune bloodwork and the sperm DNA frag test - we are a complete DQ Alpha match and high DNA frag. So it was suggested we go back to trying DS again. At this point we want to have our absolute best chance of pregnancy and we are running out of resources to keep trying so we are going to do 1 more IVF w/DS. If that doesn't work out - I would like to do DE/DS or adopted embryos (and hopefully win the lottery- both $ and a BFP).

Welcome to 3rd party repro - and also sorry that you are facing these tough decisions. My partner and I fully expected to us DS (she is a...she) but DE was something we didn't expect, so I can relate in that way. We too realized it was our goal to bring home a baby, and mine to be pregnant, and we knew the best chance for that was DE/DS. So we did - I got pregnant on the first try and have 3 frosties in waiting. Best of luck to you whatever route you take - this board is a great resource of super cool women!

6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!

9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14

11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!

When you're ready, I would recommend checking out the dual donor program at California Conceptions (I think they refer to it as embryo adoption). This seems to be a relatively affordable DE/DS option with great success rates... Just wanted to mention it.

DE IVF#2 Dec 2010 - Transferred 1, 2 frozen - BFP!
TTC#2 FET Jan 2013 - Transferred 1 - BFP!
DD conceived with no issues, but born at 33 weeks due to PPROM

12-2012-after being with our agency over a year and only shown to EM once we decided to talk with RE about DEIVF. Thru a crazy sequence of events we decided to go for it and we picked a donor MUCH quicker than anticipated
1/13/2013-started lupron with anticipated transfer in mid Feb.
ER 2/15 resulted in 15 eggs/10M/6F with ICSI.
2/18 transferred 1-8cell and 1-9cell embie. Snuggle in little embies.
positive on HPT 6dp3dt. Could this really be IT?!?! Beta 14dp3dt=2440. U/S scheduled for 3/20.
