Hi Everyone....excited and nervous about my first IVF. I took bcp for 7 days and then on the third day off...today...I have started the micro dose lupron protocol. Seems pretty aggressive and I'm trying to keep my chin up in preparation for the 4 shots a day. I will be doing test Day-5/6 PGS (CGH) on any embryos that make to that stage and then a FET next cycle. Wish me luck!
Yay, good luck! I was also injecting 4 shots/day for a flare protocol. It sure seemed like a lot but I made myself look forward to the shots (I tried to have a different and positive perspective rather than dread them). There were a few times that I had dh give my shots though, I needed a break from poking myself and there were times that I was pretty emotional over having to do them in the first place. Knowing that there were a ton of other women going through it at the same time gave me a lot comfort, especially when getting up at 5am.
So don't read my experience above about my egg retrieval today And if you already did, I imagine my experience doesn't happen to many other people. Wishing you the best!

Excited for you PPL2011. I have a good feeling about your cycle! The shots sure aren't fun, but mostly it's the anticipation - they actually don't really hurt too much.
Thinking good thoughts for you!

I did read this before I read the responses on my own post...oh boy, that was rough. Look, anesthesia isn't easy. In my experience it's usually worse than the surgery. You never know how you will react.
I also read BAKERMOMS post about how she was feeling after doing the same protocol I am doing and I did get nervous, but she's another rock star with tons of eggs! I hope I can get a nice number too.
Glad you're ok and 13 IS a lucky number in my family!
Don't stress PPL2011! YOU are doing great! One day at a time!
We all respond differently
This round of MDLF, I was on my lowest dose of stims, plus they lowered the dose after 4 days...which is really, really odd for me. I didn't respond this well the last time with MDLF...it's all a crap shoot (In my opinion!!)
I'm cheering for you! wishing you all the best!

Hoping that your first IVF cycle is your only IVF cycle GL-I think it helps to remember to take things one day at a time-or else the emotions, anticipation, and whatever emotions you are feeling that day will come along and knock you off your feet.
