Hello my name is Shenell and ive recently became a single mom but not because of the average way my husband had a stroke a little over a month ago which has severely damage his brain and he is now in a coma that the doctors say he may never recover from. This has devastated my family we have to two girls 9 and 6 and im 9 months pregnant with our first son. it has been hard to be strong while going through this and shortly i will have a newborn to take care of by myself and im scared and on top of all of this im in the process of moving. My husband is my best friend we were like glue we did everything together. Before his stroke i was on bedrest because my pregnancy is high risk so my husband has been doing everything cooking cleaning taking the girls back and forth from school grocery shopping laundry things that i couldnt do but now i have to do them and i dont have the engery to do. I do have some help but its not like my husband I am missing him and i am very lonely and im so scared and worried about postpardum depression I am in need od some advice. thanks for listening

Re: im new to single motherhood and i need help
Is there any family members that can help you? You cant change whats happening. You have to ask your friends and family for help. Maybe other parents can do play days so your other children can be taken care of 1/2 day on weekends & after school etc? Maybe your local community or church might have suggestions?
If money is tight maybe you can do some kind of trade with someone for cleaning services or light cooking ( maybe make a posting on craigslist)? Maybe a teenager wanting to make extra money can do some cooking or helping?
Everything happens for a reason you will get through this.
