So Msbean reminded me, who loves them some Dr. Who?
I didn't get into it until about 6 month ago. I've been getting through the epidoses slowly, I'm not quite caught up yet. So, the tough questions:
Who is your favorite Doctor? I love me some David Tennant. Its not that I dislike Matt Smith, I just really liked #10.
Who is your favorite companion? Rose. I just loved their story line so much. I'm not a huge fan of the Amy/Rory story, I don't really know why, I just don't like it as much.
Have you seen the christmas special for this year yet? What do you think of the newest companion?
I know there are other Doctor nerds out there......

It took me a while to get into it. My husband was watching, and I thought "this is stupid." But somehow I got drawn in, and now I think I watch it more than he does.
I like David Tennant and Matt Smith equally, but differently.
I really got into the Amy/Rory story, I think they are my favorite. Their final episode? Ohhhhh mah god I cried the whole ending. For our anniversary, I wrote to my husband that, "I would jump off a building with you to create a time paradox to save you." And I like the River Song story, it's so sad!
I couldn't get into Rose. I don't think I can get over her teeth.
I did like Marfa, though!
I did see the Christmas episode, but that's it for new ones. I do like the new companion and I am really glad she was introduced previously. Althought she's so pretty it's almost painful.
David Tennant is my favorite, hands down. I love him, so hard. Matt Smith does a good job, but he comes third to Christopher Eccelston. He was so manic and dark- you really got the sense that he was a 900 year old person who had overseen the end of civilizations.
I loved Rose, because she was my first companion- she was fearless and loyal and ready to go, but my favorite was probably Donna. She was the only one who didn't become a swoony mess around the Doctor and she kept him in line. It was like a buddy show, but with carnivorous dust mites and killer marshmallows.
I liked the Christmas special, but it could really have used more scary snowmen and less grumpy oldsters that can't get over the fact that they had no friends as a kid. I have high hopes for Oswin. I really enjoyed her in her first episode and the special and like that the next season's mystery is all ready to go.
I started watch Dr. Who when the reboot came out a few years back. DH always made fun of me for being so nerdly. Since it is a family show in the UK I decided to introduced my older two girls to it and they became obsessed. Now we watch it as a family and DH hides in the basement, muttering how he is outnumbered. Haha.
I think you either like Rose or you don't. I cried, like ugly cried when she got trapped in the parallel Earth. I would love to see a special on how their story goes there.
I should say I like Rory, but Amy just isn't my favorite. I want to yell at her sometimes for how she treats Rory. And Martha was pretty bad A$$.
Im not totally to the point where you meet the new companion yet, but my bro and his gf have big mouths and told me about what happens to current.
And her teeth, yes. I totally agree!
Her teeth were nuts, but I could not get over them when she got them fixed. She couldn't carry her accent anymore and looked so un-Rosey.
I was driving to my moms house the other day and saw a window decal that had a picture of the Tardis and said "my other vehicle is a Tardis" I have never wanted to put anything on my car before now.
I did like that about Donna. She was a little obnoxious, but she grew on me. I don't think all companions need to be in love with him. It would get boring if all of them did.
I love the Dalek. I like how you think they are gone, but they come back somehow.
The Weeping Angels scare the crap out of me.

DH got me into it. He rewatched all of the episodes with me. We dressed our daughter up as a Dalek for Halloween. It's serious.

I actually don't have a favorite companion, they all have good and annoying qualities. A few months ago a girl said I looked like Rose. I wasn't happy. I think it's my overbite.
Did anyone see the final, unfilmed story boarded scene narrated by Rory? It was an epilogue to tie up his father's side of the story. I saw the link on Flavorwire a few months ago. I cried ugly tears at that one. I'll see if it is still on line when I'm at the computer later.
I'm interested in the new companion. Though I will go nuts if she and Matt Smith spend the whole season talking as fast as they did in the Christmas special. Pacing, people!
