UPDATED Update on my friend... not bad news

Labor continues, but has slowed. Baby A is still engaged, but the waters are still intact. Please if you can, keep thinking good thoughts. There is a sliver of hope.

Update: Baby A's bag is bulging, which is not good. HOWEVER, he/she is no longer engaged and has reversed! They need to keep her basically on her head to take pressure off her cervix, hopefully HOPEFULLY that will allow the bag to go back too, her cervix will close, and MAYBE they can do a rescue cerclage and buy some more time.
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

    Every day, every HOUR can make such a huge difference at this gestational age. She's gotten her first round of steroid shots, I'm pretty sure she's head down in a bed so gravity doesn't put more pressure on her cervix, and she's at a hospital with a great NICU not far from NYC. It's a miracle that labor slowed like it did last night. Nobody was expecting that to happen. Babies can be engaged for a long time without being born, it's not ideal, but possible.

    You all are the best for sending so much love to someone you've never even met. Thank you.

    BFP#2 11/20/12, EDD 7/30/13 ~ heard heartbeat at 6w2d ~ mmc discovered at 8w
    1st medicated cycle ~ 6/11/13 ~ Clomid ~ BFN
    2nd medicated cycle ~ 7/12/13 ~ Clomid and trigger shot ~ BFN
    SHG on 8/13/13 ~ uterus looked good!
    Diagnosed with DOR on 8/16/13 ~ AMH 0.27 ~ repeat AMH 0.19
    3rd medicated cycle ~ 8/9/13 ~ Femara and trigger shot ~ BFN
    4th medicated cycle ~ 9/4/13 ~ Bravelle, trigger shot, IUI ~ BFP! ~ EDD: 6/11/14 ~ heartbeat of 118 at 6w3d ~ mmc discovered at 9w1d

    I am keeping everything crossed and sending T&Ps. Thank you so much for the update  and I am so glad that she has not delivered yet. It is also good to know that there is a terrific NICU where she is and that there is some hope.

    They are still in my thoughts! Being upside down reminds me of Private Practice! Did anyone see those episodes where Charlotte delivered one of the triplet and then had to be upside down for weeks to keep the other two from being delivered? I had no idea they did stuff like that until seeing it on tv.

    Hopefully your friends babies keep cookin!

    Your friends are in my thoughts. I cannot imagine what they are going through. A friend of mine just had twins in December at 24 weeks 4 days and they are still fighting but doing good - hopefully your friends babies will do the same!

    Yeah i didnt realize they did it in real life.

    My bff's sister had her twins at 24 weeks. They are now 2, they both have special needs but they are the sweetest.

    I missed your initial post but I will keep your friend in our T&Ps!  Hoping for everything to turn out alright!!

    One of my BFFs is currently pregnant with twins (due in May) and this really turned my stomach.  I am so sorry your friend is going through this.
