I am struggling big time. About a week or 2 ago lo's started this squirming phase where they eat a couple of ounces then start squirming all over. My one guy is just so busy arching his back to see what's behind him, turning over, doing anything to get out of eating his bottle. When I try giving it back to them they'll usually push the nipple out with their tongues. It's def not a reflux issue, it's a new 'I'm going to be nosey' issue. Bottles used to take 10 minutes, now they're taking 45 and I can't remember the last time they finished one. Is this just a phase? How do other MoMs handle feeding at this stage? It's like a wrestling match every time and I'm exhausted. Also, I'm still trying the one in lap and one in Boppy and now that they're bigger it's just not working. Im gettingkicked and feel like im trying to manage wet noodles. Both in boppys doesn't either bc they move too much. Would love to hear what works for you, I'm desperate. Oh and they aren't holding their own bottles yet obviously. TIA

Re: Playing is more fun than eating these days....
yes its a phase but a frustrating one for sure! What worked for us is putting them both in their fisher price rockers (just a larger seat they could sit in up till 40lbs I think) them being strapped in meant they couldnt move much and it has a toy bar for them to play with. This seemed to help. Also are they eating food now? Once my boys started with food they wanted more of that quickly and cut back on formula, they might be saying they are ready to eat less or eat less often? At that point my boys were having 3-8oz bottles a day plus food.
It's always something eh!
Thanks ladies. We are on level 3 nipples so I don't think it's that, they are just more excited about what's going on than eating. The tv very well could be the trick i need to try shutting it off. I also decided to cut back their bottles by an ounce yesterday and they've been eating it all. I think I was so consumed by what "they" say about how much they should be eating. I have to constantly remind myself that as long as there's dirty diapers and weight gain, we are in good shape!!
Just out of curiosity, how does it work feeding them in high chairs/RnP/seats logistically speaking? Are you sort of hunched over holding the bottles up for them? I feel like that sounds uncomfortable for all of us but probably necessary at this point.
