Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Miss being pregnant with DD??

Anyone else reminisce on the pregnancy boards and miss being pregnant? The one on one special time? I can't believe how fast it flew by and DD will soon be 1 whole year in May! I'm sure not everyone had the 'best' experience but I enjoyed being pregnant with DD and kinda miss that time. Seeing her first hb, footprint, finding out her gender... my little sweet angel girl... is that weird??

Re: Miss being pregnant with DD??

  • I don't think it's weird at all. I also often find myself missing being pregnant

  • yes, i do miss it. But only months 4-6, lol. At the end of my pregnancy i got a HORRIBLE rash on my feet and hands that itched so bad i felt like i was being tortured. praying that it doesnt happen with our next baby when we go for number 2!

This! I so miss being pregnant. The thing i miss the most, is the kicks and hiccups. Put a smile on my face EVERY time!!
The excitement of what he will be like, look like, sound like....etc. I can't wait to have all of that again one day.
It was hands down one of the greatest times in my life and i do miss it very, very often.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one that reflects on that time and misses it!

Awe! Exactly my feelings! I don't feel so silly anymore.
  • Oh I totally miss being pregnant! With my cute baby bump, lusciously thick hair, glowing skin, big boobs, adorable and comfy maternity wardrobe... Everyone smiling at me and giving me special treatment.

Now I'm left with thinning hair, am sleep deprived, have lost all my strength and feel so weak all the time... Where did my boobs go anyway?

  • I am not ready to be pregnant again, but I do miss it sometimes. I miss the excitement, feeling Renee move, and the anxious anticipation of waiting for her arrival!

  • When I'm around a pregnant person or even when I just hear about someone being pregnant I get jealous.
It baffles me! I guess it's because pregnancy IS such a special time!
But it's wild thinking this as I am up for the third time tonight with my wakeful 6 month old!!!

This!!! My hubby will tell a different tale...anytime I say I miss being pregnant, he reminds me of how miserable I felt at the bitter end. But what I miss is feeling little man move, rubbing my belly on the way home from work, watching him move around and wondering what he's going to look like...and the maternity clothes! I had some cute ones :o)

I also often think back to his birth. I had the most amazing experience - yes it was tough, but it happened exactly how I wanted it to and I'm still so proud of me and my hubs! :o) I lurk on the natural birth board often...

  • I totally mis being pregnant, and I am really looking forward to the second time around.  I just got AF back this week and DD is 8 months. It was so light the first few days I actually freaked out a little that I might be pregnant. I knew from my reactioin that although I miss being pregnant, I definitely don't want to be pregnant again just yet.

I think part of it for me is I developed preeclampsia at just shy of 36weeks and had to be induced. Everything happened so fast at the end and was unexpected. I feel a bit like I got cheated out of the last month of pregnancy and delivery experience.

  • I don't miss being pregnant at all. I had a ton of spotting/bleeding scares, m/s and the last 2 months I could barely walk and almost had to go to physical therapy because of pelvic pain. I do have baby fever really bad, though! I want the baby, just not the pregnancy. :)

Hopefully, if you decide to have another baby, you're blessed with a more positive experience!

I LOVE your baby's name!!!  Cooper was a name we both loved, but it doesn't with our last name!!  It would be like another Philip Phillips hahaha
