1. I ran out to Target at lunch today, and I managed to score a Chicco Keyfit 30 for half price! It's not the color we wanted, but I'm not going to be picky for $95 off.
2. My shower is on Sunday! I'm not very good at being the center of attention, but I love everyone who is invited, and I can't wait.
3. Everything is feeling very tight and constricting today. I'm swelling enough that I had to take off my rings, so I hope it's just that and not that I've gained a bunch of weight.
4. I'm starting to feel like I'm in the "mommy club." I'm suddenly much closer to my friends who have kids, and I've definitely noticed that people treat me differently now. Very interesting.
5. Is it time to go on maternity leave yet? I'm so ready.
6. My nursery is almost done. We just need to put together the changing table and shelves, then organize all of our stuff. This is starting to feel very real.
7. Anyone else with some major pregnancy insomnia? I have no problem falling back asleep the first few times I have to get up to pee, but I'm awake for good at 4 AM just about every morning. I'm just completely exhausted the rest of the day.
8. I've felt like I am my own heat source for the past few months, so I'm loving this cold. Too bad it's going to warm up next week.
9. I crave chocolate, but it gives me major heartburn. That's just cruel.
10. To echo #1, I can't believe how many good baby deals are out there right now. 20% off a bunch of stuff at Amazon, the trade in special at BRU (plus I have a $100 gift card I got for Christmas there!) and Target clearance. If my shower wasn't in a few days, I'd be going crazycakes buying stuff right now.
1. DH has been in Seattle since Monday and comes home tonight!
2. As a teacher, I am amazed at how rude and disrespectful some of my 11th grade students are. My daughter will be in so much trouble if she ever tries to act like them!
3. My students also leave trash in the desks and on the floor and it annoys me that they cannot put it in the trash can on the way out the door.
4. #2 and #3 make me happy that I only have a few more weeks until maternity leave! I am so done with this school year!
5. The nursery is finally coming together. There is still more to do, but we have been able to put some things away.
6. I am still waiting for this "nesting" to kick in because honestly, I feel lazy and other than the nursery, do not want to do much work around the house.
7. I am anxious to see the maternity photos that we took on Sunday.
8. I really want this cough to go away. Two weeks is long enough! My OB gave me a prescription for something with codeine. I took it last night at 11:00 and was still really drowsy the whole drive to work. IF I take it again, I will have to do so earlier at night.
9. I am addicted to almond m & ms.
10. I can't believe I have just 50 days to go!

1. My baby shower is on Sunday...Excited but anxious I hate everyone watching me open gifts, and having it be all about me.
2. My DH has been amazing this week doing laundry, making dinner, and cleaning house. I'm a lucky girl.
3. Stressed out about our house situation. We are under contract to sell ours and purchase one but it has been a long drawn out process (since Oct.) But we will know something by February 7th.
4.Counting down the says until February 7th.
5. Scheduling my maternity pictures soon!
6. I'm addicted to brownies....like I cannot get enough.
7. Thankful that I have enough control to only have one average size brownie a day.
8. Looking forward to my MW appointment tomorrow. I just love to hear the sound of my babies heartbeat.
9. I have NOTHING done in terms of a nursery so that's a little scary. But i do have a ton of lists of things I need to do so I guess that is a step in the right direction.
10. I can't believe that I will be 33 weeks on Sunday!!! Where did the time go?
1. I decided to forgo the nice healthy lunch that I had packed today in favor of an enchilada date with my husband. Definitely made the right decision!
2. I absolutely cannot wait to be on maternity leave. My excitement for that is right up there with the excitement of meeting my son.
3. I wonder why it takes 40 weeks to grow a human? I think the perfect amount of time would be about 30 (not saying I want him to be born at 75% of the gestation period, just wishing the amount of time was shorter). Maybe this is a reflection of my impatience ?
4. I would give anything to close my office door and take a little post lunch snooze right now. I wonder how many people would notice??
5. I sneezed and peed for the first time last night. In the aisle at Sam's Club. In gray pants. While no one noticed, I was privately mortified.
6. I was underwhelmed by the Silver Lining's Playbook. That being said, I totally left with a bigger crush on both Bradley Cooper AND Jennifer Lawrence.
7. I have a deep seated fear that my son will like my husband, his grandparents, his babysitter, basically everyone, more than me.
8. I know this fear is irrational.
9. I am also terrified that I won't like being "mom" as much as I think I will. Again, another irrational fear.
10. I secretly hope we do get the snow/rain that they are predicting on Sunday so that I can stay in my pajamas at home all day.
1. This week has gone by super fast and for that I am thankful!!
2. I like to eat the red and green sour patch kids together.
3. It's amazing how many of DH's cousins I have "do not show in news feed' listed on FB. Their grammatical errors drive me insane!! Especially the incorrect use of their,they're and there.
4. My first baby shower is Saturday at my mom's and I am so excited to see all my family!
5. I'm so glad I don't live up north. I hate cold weather! It was a nice 60 degrees this morning
6. Next month my SIL and MIL are throwing me another shower and I have no idea what to get my MIL as a thank you gift.
7. DH and I are already discussing birth control options. I was on the pill for 5 years, but DH said it made me an emotional wreck, so I'm thinking about the IUD.
8. My due date is 2 days before my MIL's bday and I really hope I don't have the baby on her birthday..I will NEVER hear the end of it!
9. I had a chocolate banana smoothie for dinner last night and it was amazing!! I may have to make another one for tonight
10. We're having a 3d sono tomorrow
1. Work has been nuts today- much more urgent stuff than usual. On the bright side, I've been totally on top of things, which is a nice impression to leave before being gone for three months.
2. DH had to go OOT unexpectedly yesterday for an unknown length of time (probably around 2 weeks?), so of course we got two inches of snow last night and are expecting more tomorrow. Nothing like shoveling your driveway at 6:30 am when you're 7 months pregnant!
3. DD and I are going to hang stuff up in the baby's room this weekend- we're just about ready for him!
4. Working from home tomorrow- I love being able to work in sweatpants.
5. I've been kind of obsessed with chocolate mug cake lately. I should probably reign that in.
6. I'm over buying clothes right now, since anything will either be useless in two months or I won't be able to wear it until then, so I'm lusting after shoes now instead.
7. We bought a new car on Friday and I love it! It's higher off the ground so much easier for me to get in and out of right now, and it still has that new car smell.
8. I'm annoyed with an online store that I ordered stuff from three weeks ago, knowing that what I ordered was out of stock until this past weekend. The webiste shows it as available, but my order still hasn't shipped.
9. DD was so cute about the snow this morning- she's been waking up grumpy lately, but this morning when I told her it had snowed, she literally jumped out of bed and got dressed in record time so she could go outside and see. Too funny!
10. We're supposed to have tilapia and spinach-artichoke pasta tonight, but I'm thinking we may end up having chicken tenders and sweet potato tots instead. I'm feeling lazy.
I think this regularly about my students and random kids I see.
1. I am sick of being sick. I went home early on Tuesday and still plan on staying home tomorrow.
2. I wish I had energy to be productive since I am home sick. I can hardly focus on a book or TV. Obviously I am getting nothing done.
3. My shower was last Saturday. It is so nice to know that we have a great stash of stuff for this little girl already.
4. I am hoping to start thank you cards tomorrow since I will be home.
5. After avoiding herbal tea this entire pregnancy, I started drinking it again this week because it soothed my throat.
6. I check my belly button regularly to make sure it is still an innie. It is, but I am not sure it will stay that way for another 6 weeks.
7. I am not sure when it happened, but my favorite Girl Scout cookie has switched from Thin Mints to Peanut Butter Sandwiches.
8. I am excited that Suits is back on AND that it is on OnDemand because I cannot stay up until 11 watching it on a Thursday night.
9. We still can't decide on a middle name for Baby Girl. At least we love her first name- Evelyn.
10. I love NCIS and have watched hours of it for the last 3 days.
1. I'm so happy that I finally got the chance to do some shopping for baby. I had to go into the city (45 min. away) for my u/s and OB consult appointments on Tuesday. It was so nice to do some shopping for LO without DH and my SKs tagging along and bugging me (I'm very indecisive so they get impatient with me quite easily. I usually have to rush through any shopping I do when we're all together. And since the best shopping is so far away and we only go into the city about once a month, we're always together when we go).
2. We finally made a decision about the travel system and playard we want so we just ordered them online. They're not supposed to arrive until March 5th. Now I'm panicking a little bit and hoping that LO doesn't arrive too early.
3. I'm on an orange kick. I usually dislike navel oranges because I hate peeling them. I love mandarin oranges though. Since the holiday season is over, I can't find mandarins anymore so I've been settling on navels...and actually enjoying them! I've discovered that they are tolerable to eat if I just cut them into sixths and eat them off the peel. lol
4. I haven't had much of an appetite lately. Nothing seems appealing. It reminds me of August when I was so nauseated and had no appetite...except that I have no nausea right now.
5. I'm looking forward to washing some baby clothes and organizing some things in the upstairs bedrooms this weekend in order to make room for babe.
6. I'm sad that I'm on rest now and will be missing out on my class' annual ski trip next week.
7. But I'm looking forward to having some time to get things organized around our house in preparation for the baby's arrival. If I actually feel up to doing anything. This SPD is a pain in the butt!
8. Friends of ours are due in 3 weeks. They're likely going to come over this weekend for a visit before their babe arrives. They just live up the street but we rarely see each other due to our busy schedules. I think us ladies are going to have some virgin paralyzers. Mmmm...
9. My left eye has been twitching all day. I thought maybe it was because I'm overtired. I had a long nap this afternoon but it's still bugging me. :S
10. We're still stuck on a boy name. We have three at the top of our list and I figure we'll take the list to the hospital with us. I'm fine with that because I can't imagine calling LO by a name beforehand anyways. But I just wish we were in love with one more than the others.
