Midwife recommendation...

So, a couple weeks ago I posted about the Birth Center in Wilmington...well it turns out that I am considered high risk and am not a good candidate :(  My RE suggested Clare, a midwife at All about Women or Michelle, a midwife at Maternity and Gynecology Associates of Delaware.  I really wanted to use the Birth Center so we thought this would be the next best thing...hospital birth with a midwife.

Does anyone have any experience with these midwives...are the practices conducive to having a med free birth?

    I go to Maternity and Gynocoloy assoc. and I never saw Michelle during my pregnancy, but I met her while I was in the hospital after I had E, and she was really nice.

    I am not sure how they feel about med-free births though.

    I just gave birth last week and Clare from AAW delivered my baby. I didn't have a med-free birth but that was never my plan in the first place. I can tell you though that she is amazing and very responsive to what I wanted and needed. I would highly recommend her!

    I have an appt at each of those 3 this month but have only been treated so far at the birth center in Wilm.  I didn't know maternity and gynecology assoc also had a midwife, I thought that was a practice of OBs only.  Now I'm excited for that appt today! Good luck and maybe your status will change from high risk to low risk so you can go wherever you want!
