I had to share: my office seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that I am about to bust out a baby. However, the ladies from the office down the hall have noticed, and have been really nice with little chats when we pass each other on the way to the shared bathrooms. Today they dropped off a giant bag of baby books and parenting books for me and DH. I don't even really know their names, but they went out of their way to put this really nice package together! I am so moved! I can't wait to get home so I can start writing the best thank-you note ever.

Maybe give them some treats or snacks (for their little department) to go with the Thank You note!

My work colleagues sound like yours, ie. totally useless and horrible. I hope you had a chance to gush in the office about how nice the ladies down the hall were to drop-off a baby present for you!
