How many days off work

I am two days post d and c and am calling the dr to see how long he wants me to be off work. The nurse had said I would go back on Monday but before surgery the dr had said at least a full week because I am a public preschool teacher. I am just seeing how long you ladies were off work. If it helps I am still cramping and bleeding and will be on meds til Monday due to my reaction. Thanks for all of your help!

    I'm having my d and c tomorrow and going back to work on Monday. My doctor told me to rest and relax for about 48 hrs after the procedure.

    I can share my experience, but while I had bleeding, I had no cramping after the 1st 24 hours, never took more than Motrin, and did not have any reactions.  

    I have a pretty active job-I manage a horse farm, ride horses and teach lessons so I am on my feet most of the day. My Dr said I could go back to work if I felt up to it the next day, just to take it easy. I did go back and in hindsight, maybe could've taken the day off to rest up, but felt I needed to get back to my routine as quickly as possible. I did pretty much my usual routine, just in half a day instead of a full day. The 2nd day after the D&C, I felt my normal self.

    BFP #4 4/7/14 EDD 12/15/14 Our rainbow was born 12/6/14 at 4:26pm! <3

    I miscarried over winter break and physically was good after a few days, if that long! Emotionally, not at all. I went back about a week and a half later and everyone I teach with knew, would hug me, and I burst into tears. Plus, I work with three other pg teachers. I also told my students so it was hard to tell them the updates. Take the time you need to heal both emotionally and physically!

    5/12/2013 SURPRISE BFP! Natural cycle 
    7/11/2013 Panorama results Normal!!! Team Pink, partial previa moved up in 2nd tri9/5/13 (19w) AS scan shows short cervix, 2.5 cm 9/19 (21w)  Cervix is worse 1.87cm, bed rest 10/26 & 10/27 steroid shots 12/19 (35w) DX: SGA Baby went from 57% percentile to 18th percentile in 6 weeks. Weekly BPP and NST until she is here. 1/17/18 Growth scan puts Abby below 10th percent in size, low amniotic fluid, and less movement. Time to induce!
    1/18/14 2:11am Abigial Morgan is here! 5lbs 14oz and 18 inches of pure cuteness!!!

    I had d&c today and am returning to work tomorrow.  I don't have a physical job, though, and I'm not really in any pain or having any cramping at this point.  But every body and every job is different. :)  Good luck!  And speedy recovery.

    I had my D&C on Thursday 1/17. I was off work Thur-Friday. I would have returned on Monday (I felt fine), but we were closed for MLK day, so I actually went back on Tuesday 1/22.

    I found out that I miscarried on a Monday. I left work halfway through the day took the rest of the week off. I actually took misoprostol instead of a dc. So, in my situation I was not comfortable going back to work that week, physically or emotionally. It's a lot to deal with. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope everything works out for you.

    •  For me I would rather stay busy.  I found out I was miss carrying Monday, worked all week( I sit at a desk),had the d&c today n am going back Monday
