When did you start?
I am considering it to help with positioning since I am pretty sure positioning was the reason for my 72 hour labor which ended at 4 cm and a c/s last time. I am doing all the spinningbabies.com exercises, but want to do as much as I can to get this baby lined up.
Re: If you see a chiropractor
My chiro suggests that I see her on the same schedule as my regular midwife appts. Increasing it up towards the end, by seeing her every week. However if there is a problem you may end up seeing them more. I started seeing her at 10 weeks for some hip pain... totally worth it!

I think around 20 weeks, maybe a bit before. I saw her 1-2 times a week for awhile, and then went longer between appointments. She also had me get massages (sorta delightful) and do exercises at home (which I didn't do - bad!). All in all, I think I had about 30 appointments while pregnant.
I don't really believe in chiropractics, but my sciatica bothered me a lot less than it did during my first pregnancy, and my second son was lined up right the whole time. Though I also biked and swam during his pregnancy, and being active definitely doesn't hurt.
Anyhoo, sorry for the rambling response, heh.
DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
I started at about 18 weeks due to some mid-back pain that occurred earlier in my second pregnancy, and in hopes of preventing another OP baby. I feel like I owe her a very large bottle of wine for my second pregnancy and labor.
The first time I was induced with a sunny-side-up kiddo and had 6 hours of excruciating, transition-like contractions where nothing could relieve the pain. The second time was about 4 hours of very doable contractions where I could actually use my Bradley training, to the point that the midwife almost missed the birth because we didn't realize it was time! A well-positioned baby is an unbelievable game changer, and I am now a huge believer in chiropractic care in pregnancy.
when i got pregnant with #2, i was already seeing a chiropractor and having massage therapy regularly (monthly). i continued to see them monthly throughout my first trimester. as my prenatal appointments increased, so did my appointments with the chiro and massage therapy. i did these appointments on the same day. i also started seeing an acupuncturist in my 3rd trimester, also coordinating with prenatals. my prenatals were on thursdays, so i just took a half day in first and second tris, then when i added acupuncture in the 3rd tri, i took the whole day off.
i think it made a huge difference. i had a three day labor with #1, that ended in 12 hrs at 10cm, 8 of them pushing and finally a c/s. my labor with #2 start to finish was 7hrs.

I've been going since 25 weeks... and wished i had been going sooner. My hip and back were killing me, and i had bad pg induced carpal tunnel ! It has been soooo nice since i went, my carpal tunnel has reduced to where i don't have to wear a brace during the day (they adjust my wrist) and my back and hip are much improved. if i don't go twice a week everything starts locking up after a week. My LO was breech, and although I can't attribute it to the chiro because they all are breech early on, i am happy to report that she is now head down and facing my spine (yeah!) so I am very relieved! I plan on going 2x a week for the rest of the pregnancy.
My chiro does a regimen where I'm on a rolling table for 15 min to loosen everything up (I'm ok with this because with the constant motion my major vein is not being pressed too bad) , then the massage therapist does 10 minutes of focused pressure points on my hip to get those muscles to release (covered by insurance since its considered physical therapy), and then I get adjusted and they do a special adjustment on my wrist. After all that I walk out of the office in heaven!
