Belly Bandit?

XP 0-3 & 3-6

Did anyone use one of these? Did it work? Thoughts, advice, opinions?

I'm considering getting one if it will make me feel better about myself PP, since this will be a summer baby and I won't be able to hide behind jackets and sweaters like I could after DD#1 lol

Thanks!

Re: Belly Bandit?

  • I did NOT get one. I didn't see the point in it in spending the extra money. Do you have a belly band? You could use that for awhile. DS was also a summer baby, and I found the things that made me feel better where loose/flow tops (empire waist). They don't hug your body, but allow you to move pretty easily. You can also get pregnancy shorts, that provide some support PP...I got a cheap pair at target and wore those for awhile.

You could also buy a pair of capri/shorts a size larger than you normally wear once you do lose some of the weight.I really liked that..it made me feel more like myself to not have to wear pregnancy clothes all the time. I also got some yoga/gaucho pants with a wide waist band. It held in the "extra" but was nice and stretchy.

As we moved into fall I did get a pair of "spanx" to wear since I was in a wedding and wanted to look a little better...they didn't help me too much after than, but did what I need for the wedding.

  • Right now I'm using assets made by spanx I found in target. It works better than the belly band because it doesn't lose shape. Whereas the belly band does throughout the day...but I live in a hot humid climate so that may be a factor, lol.
  • I agree... Spanx were awesome for the first couple mths. Much more slimming than the ones especially designed for post partum.
  • I did get the Belly Bandit and I freakin loved it!!!  I had a summer baby as well although I don't think that has anything to do with it, I would recommend it to everyone that doesn't want to have a muffin top.  My tummy was flat in literally 10 days after giving birth because of it.>> everybody hated me lol.   I wore it all day every day for about a month and a half.  Not only did it help me look great in no time, it also helped with cramps and C-section pain.

If you don't want to spend the $50 just get an ace bandage and wrap it really tightly around you every day.  That's what my mom did, and after having 3 kids and being 56 years old she still has a flat tummy.

People in other countries have been doing this for years..
