Quick (and probably dumb) Question: at my 33 week appointment yesterday the doctor told me that I will have NSTs every week from 36 weeks on. From what I've heard and experienced...babies move less and less as you get close to the end because it's so cramped in there. So how would the NST work if baby can hardly move??

Re: Quick (and probably dumb) Question...
After the ultrasound, they hooked me up to a fetal monitor for about 30 minutes. The doctor checked the results for the resting heartbeat around 125 for my LO and the baby's active heartbeat approximately 155 for my LO. Apparently they like to see some variance, and want to make sure the heartbeat doesn't go outside of the safe norm. They also look for any contractions and measure your blood pressure and weight.
I will tell you that I nearly had a heart attack when the baby moved and the monitor lost his heartbeat for a second. The doctor didn't seem concerned at all though, and everything seems fine for now. Also, the paper in the machine ran out, which set off an alarm.....a terrible feature for a hormonal pregnant girl!
