I'm just curious. I am an extreme couponer myself, and LOVE getting my stuff for free or next to nothing, and was wondering if there was anyone else who does the same. I think my DH is growing tired of my crazy stockpile though. lol I don't hear complaints when everyone admires my closet full of Pampers and Huggies diapers and wipes, which he paid ZERO for.
Re: Do we have any couponers on here?
I grew up with a couponer so it was natural that it carried over... that said, I don't have a super crazy stockpile and what I do have is stuff we actually use. I also do a lot for donation for a food bank/women's shelter, especially items like shampoo/toothpaste/personal care items.

Do you have stores in your area that double coupons?
I love to use coupons as strategically as possible...I am still confused as whether or not there's a difference between "people that use coupons" and "extreme couponers"... I'm most likely going to be a SAHM so I'm eager to learn new ways to pinch pennies even if it is a little intense or time consuming.
i'm big into couponing too!! DH doesn't complain at all b/c he can see how much we saved. I got 72 free jars of baby food over the past couple of weeks; this week I'm getting tons of wipes refills for $1, free granola bars, body wash for less than 50 cents each, baby shampoo for $1, etc. All name brand stuff. I haven't paid for toothpaste or toothbrushes in years and probably never will.
The store I shop at (Shop Rite) is tripling coupons this week and next.

They gave me 5 at Pea in a Pod when I made my last purchase. Best day ever.
I dont know... I always have as many I can use as possible. How do you find out if a store doubles coupons?
Shop rite?? Is this because of the can-can sale?
Extreme couponers usually have stockpiles of items that they don't need or use, they clear shelves, etc.
For those who were looking for resources, there are usually a few local blogs in each area in additional to national ones.

I use coupons and did get the Huggies and Pampers deals at CVS and Walgreens for $3 or $4 per pack, but free - how did you do that? And when Babies R Us had diapers for $5 each and $3 coupons I got a lot of Huggies and Pampers for $2. My area does not double coupons (Chicago). Did you get the Huggies wipes deal late last year where a pack of 800 wipes was $1.50 with Walgreens coup and Manuf coup! I did stock up on those and wasn't even preggers yet but TTC - I figured if TTCdid not work I could give them as baby shower gifts or donate them. And did you get the Pampers wipes deal on Amazon the other week?
I do get toothpaste, tooth brushes, razors, shave cream for free.
I like how at Target you can use a Target coup and manuf. coup
I only get things we use or items I can donate. I don't keep loads of stuff we will never use and I don't clear the shelf.
If your husband is tired of your stockpile, you can always send it to me *doe eyes*.
It's a girl!
I'm in Seattle, how can I get diapers and wipes for zero dollars???
We were thinking of cloth diapering but if I can get diapers for free then I'm all in.
I don' think it's "because" of it but they're doing it this week and next week at least!

I did a few years ago when amazon had these awesome coupons with their subscribe and save. They don't do that anymore...but I have gotten lots from CVS (cvs brand) last summer when they were coming out with a new version. I also get good deals on huggies at CVS when they do 3/$30 and give $10 ECB. Then if you use a $4/20 coupon from CVS and some $3/1 coupons for Huggies you can get a great deal.
And yes ditto a PP, I got some Santa diapers on clearance at BRU last year for $5 and had some $3 Huggies coupons, so each jumbo pack was $2

If you can get a paper from a larger area, that usually helps (ie. I'm about 40 minutes from Los Angeles but get the LA Times for better coupons than our local regional papers)... but honestly most coupons are now also printable.
https://www.babycheapskate.com / https://hip2save.com/couponnewbie will walk you through a lot of it.
I personally don't get freebie diapers, maybe for $2-3 per pack for Huggies/Pampers/Luvs by watching for sales and stacking offers (lately it's been CVS). We are a cloth diapering family but I like to have 1-3 packs per size for babysitters/traveling/no laundry days.

I've posted about this many times before, but if you want to save on diapers/wipes, another great way is swagbucks. It's an online search engine that you use to get "virtual bucks" that you trade in for amazon gift card (among other things) that you can use to get diapers through amazon.
PM me if you'd like more info - I have a tutorial typed up. When I can't get cheap enough diapers in store, I get them on amazon. I can earn about $20 a month in amazon cards and use them only for diapers.
Also, one of my grocery stores takes competitors coupons, so I have a $10 Huggies coupon that printed on a BRU receipt that I can use there with a $3 Huggies manu coupon.
